Hello Tara, Welcome to the forum. I am glad you are finding the site interesting. Yes, Astrodienst is fantastic, isn’t it! To learn how to integrate the asteroids into your natal interpretations, you have to let the planets come alive! See them as the divinities they symbolize. What do they need, want and have to offer? How do they get along with each other? Anything touching the natal Sun becomes part of the identity. What makes us distinct individuals? What are our goals, drives and aspirations that reflect who we are, who we are becoming? The Sun wants to be everything the “self” can be, and when you put Eros there with it, you add a creative, intense and erotic flavour to the nature. To be authentic, you must make room for the expression of Eros. Psyche on the MC implies that your career, mission or profession in life, how you interact with the collective, making your mark, is most naturally expressed through the symbolism of Psych (and Uranus). ESP, psychic sensitivity, telepathy and intuition are strong with this configuration. There is a need for independence and unconventional genius (Uranus) along with the search for a deeper connection with what you are doing (Psyche). I am quiet curious about your career (s). How do you express this energy right now? (with transiting Neptune making contact) Thank you for you questions. If you ever want a full and complete natal, progressed and transit reading of Eros in your chart, Reports are available here: www.nrg.com.au/~d-falcon/Eros_by_Aspect.htmWarm wishes, Kim

HI Kim, Thank you so much for your informative reponse! It's nice to communicate with someone who knows what I'm talking about astrologically. What you had to say about Eros touching the Sun is interesting. Creative, intense, erotic are words I would use to describe myself. Although, I don't think at this point in my life I am expressing them to their full potential, yet. I feel blessed that I was born with a natural talent for art. All of my life i've had people tell me "you've got to do something with your'e artistic talent" but I can't seem to motivate myself to do anything with it. I've never gone to school for it, and I dont want to. At this point in my life, I'm a little lost about what to do career wise. I had an astrologer tell me I could have a career as an astrologer, ( he lived near and studied with Isabell Hickey when he was younger) Interesting story, he decided to knock on her door one day (I think he was in his teens)and she asked him - through the door - "What house is your Uranus in?" He told her it was in his 1st house, and she let him in. She said if it wasn't in the 1st , 8th, or 10th house she wouldn't have let him in. That is actually a long story short. Anyway, I guess where I'm going with this is, having natal Uranus conj. my MC , and Aquarius intercepted in the 1st house,& moon & pluto in the 8th, might point to a career in astrology. I became interested in astrology at age 13, (I'm 26 now) I feel I know quite a bit, but it's scattered. I don't think I could give anyone a good reading without hours of pouring over their chart and searching through my books. Someday when money isn't so tight I think I should take an astrology course online. Sorry, I'm rambling on. You wrote you are curious about my career, and how I'm focusing that energy. For the past 5 or 6 years I've mostly been waitressing. I'm so sick of it. I just moved to a beautiful town in VT (fromNH) with my boy friend. (Another long story with lots of ?'s) We made a sudden move here May 1st (he got a job here) Interesting that the lunar eclipse on 5/4 is exactly conj my MC at 14' scorpio. We started dating at the end of Feb this year, and moved to another state three months later!! Verrry unlike my (and his) Taurean natures!!!So much for slow, steady, cautious bulls! Im a little worried about transiting venus about to station retro on my natal venus(25 gemini) in my 5th house (6TH house cusp) and the transit of venus to the sun on june 8 opposite my natal neptune. I'll keep you posted! I'm open to comments from anyone. Thanx again, Kim for answering my questions. I'm sure you are very busy. Your insights were much appreciated! I look forward to hearing from you and anyone else! Take care, Peace and Light, tara : PS I do plan on purchasing one of your charts in the near future. natal info: mine 5/17/78 11:51pm dorchester, mass his 4/26/71 11:19am nashua, nh((

Wow! I am so impressed, Tara! To make such a move with only a few months of knowing each other is so spontaneous and adventurous! I admire the verve it took both of you to make that choice. This is the kind of event (action) that Eros loves (and Uranus!)
A career in astrology? Absolutely, if you want it. I loved the story about Isabel Hickey. She is a hero of mine. I studied under her years ago, from afar! She was an amazing woman.
I know how challenging it can be to “put it all together” when it comes to reading a chart. It takes time, and practice, lots of practice. There are ways to go about it, of course. I might write an article on “A students guide to chart delineation”. I am sure it has been done, but maybe I can do it in a way that is new and really helpful…not just more boggling.
I think Venus retrograde will be a lovely time to focus on our relationships and social contacts, what we value and how we give and receive. It’s a time to get “authentic” with pleasure! (that can’t hurt too much, can it?)
Do let us know how you go with the occultation opposite your Neptune. Do you paint? Venus loves artistic expression and Neptune speaks best through the brush, the sculptor’s knife, the poet’s pen, the night’s dream.
Warmly, Kim

Hi Kim, thanks for the response. Yes, we made quite a spontaneous move. Sometimes I question if it was too spontaneous, but deep down I know everything happens the way it should. There are no coincidences. I try and have complete trust in the universe's plan for me. Think positive and positive things will come to you. Like attracts like. I've noticed since venus and nept. went retro., Iv'e had an even more pronounced feeling of oneness and internal peacefulness. I have found some great articles on the upcoming venus transit to the sun. One is by Johan Calleman (onenesscelebration.com), where he also askes anyone who feels called, to spread the word, on this upcoming transits influence of global enlightenment. One way of taking part is participating in a global meditation on june 8th 2004 at 11am GMT. There is no script on how Oneness is to be celebrated yet it seems clear that at the current time every effort should be made to join these expressions and to conclude with a joint global meditation. Other great articles: one by Govinda, and one at higherforces.com. I'm looking forward to a day of meditating on june 8th. Hopefully many others will participate in ways they see fit. Moving on, yes, I do paint. Although mainly I love to do very detailed drawing. Mostly nature, trees and portraits. With a virgo moon, I am my own worst critic, and should probably be a little easier on myself. But my moon in virgo enables me too really see the "details" of things and put them on paper. I used to write poetry, but haven't in sometime. I have a knack for it with the help of a mutal mercury venus reception. (merc. in taurus in the 3rd, venus in gemini). Recently while surfing the web for quotes, ( I love good quotes) I came across a great site full of astological quotes and articles. I think the site is Anyara-astrology.com. I thought some people out there may be inerested. There are quotes by Shakespeare, Jung and many others. It's a site mainly dedicated to astrological quotes but there are some wonderful articles too. Well, I'm going to get going for now. Look forward to your reply. Take care! tara "It is the stars. The stars above us govern our condition. Hello Tara,
Thank you for the insights, links and quotes! I am always looking for great quotes. I use them often in the Sun Sign Columns I write. The global meditation is a wonderful idea. Like minds...
I am inspired by your receptivity to the Neptune/Venus retrograde. You said:
"I've noticed since venus and nept. went retro., Iv'e had an even more pronounced feeling of oneness and internal peacefulness. "
Keep us posted on the upcoming meditations and events!
Warmly, Kim

HI Kim and Tara
I just discovered that I also have Eros conjunct natal Sun in Aquarius. 29 Eros, 24 Sun. Even more interesting was that transiting Uranus conjuncted my Sun and Eros when i met my exboyfriend who has Aquarius Rising and has all the surprising, unpredictable, intense and foreign qualities my Eros in 9th house Aquarius thrives on. Added to which our Vertex conjunct Moon aspect! I was a goner. SO glad to unfold the mystery of that very intense attraction that changed my life.

Hi Gizmo,
It is like a revelation to look at asteroids and get a fuller picture! 29 degrees of Aquarius? Yes, that adds potency to the Sun and erotic energy to the solar purpose. I always find 29 degrees such an edgy energy-it’s about to change and it has the full force of all the preceding degrees behind it. There is something quite unique about 29 degrees of any sign…it has a mission!
Thanks for your comments here. That Uranus transit would have been full on and when you get an Eros activation, you get Neptune as well! You can’t help but fall!
Warm wishes, Kim

Hi there everyone;
one of the most impressive charts I have ever seen for a person, ( a celebrity also ) has a conjuntion of the sun/eros/mer in the eighth house, in aries.. opposite neptune.
Besides that, and this does stand out rather strongly, I looked up Sapho and it is also in the 5th house in a relatively wide conjuntion to the moon, in aquarius...
Not to mention a few million other things aside from jupiter in exact conjuntion with the part of fortune in the 10th house and in conjuntion with uranus..
I suppose I should ask those who are good at this kind of thing to venture a guess before giving out his identity; What do you think his "claim to fame" is?
(I should also add the mutual reception between venus and neptune...and venus in the sixth in conjunction with the decendant, just to give an idea of vocation with pisces in on the 6th house cusp.)
born on Su., Apr. 17, 1955 in Leigh, ENG (UK), 2w33, 53n30 Time 5:05 pm Univ.Time 16:05 Sid. Time 5:34:51
These details were given to me personally by the man in question, and it seems he has more than just a passing interest in astrology as well.

Kim If you want me to post this one, or if you have a better one, just let me know... img.photobucket.com/albums/v25/kafkas_unfulfilling_muse/newspapers/ps.gifI should have added that he seems to be having a very "good" year and is subtly popular although probably not a house hold name... Take care, Sfinxen!

Hello Svenskasfinx,
This is an interesting chart. Comments anyone?
I am not so good at guessing Celebrities, though I imagine this person, with his Chart ruler Mercury conjunct the Sun/Eros and ruling the MC, Jupiter exalted there exact to the Fortuna, he knows how to turn a head! And, he loves doing it! Charismatic, YES, I think so. Neptune in Libra ruling the 6th with Venus there makes me think of glamour, illusion and deception that delights as well as deceives. The dominant Mercury keeps pulling me back to the written or the spoken word. Communicating is very important, whatever he does.
I suspect he is in the film or visual/performing arts industry, though he could be a dynamite university lecturer (Sun ruler in the ninth) or one very intuitive physician…or, he could just as easily act out those roles “on stage” or write them into characters in a novel.
I give up. Who is this alluring guy?
Smiles, Kim

I give up. Who is this alluring guy? Smiles, Kim Maybe the name itself means little, but recently some of the songs he has writen for his band of several years called Buzzthingys-- has been getting a bit of attention as not one but two songs he has written has been redone for film soundtracks by other artists; "Shrek 2" has a strange version of "Ever Fall In Love (with someone you shouldn't fall in love with). And recently a film called "Shaun of the Dead" featured a remake of another song he also wrote called, " Everybody's Happy Now Nowdays"-- He is known for his solo work as a performer, singer and song writer, and has a remarkably stage pressence. He began his career in University, studing electronics... His name is Pete Shelley, born "Peter McNiesh" and he is a very very charismatic person, who is also, in his own words, kind of shy. He didn't start off as the lead singer, but was kind of forced into being the lead singer and writer when his band mate Howard Devoto left the self made and successful "Buzzthingys" to pursue a career in another band where he wouldn't have to be all out of breath with, and recently the two of them formed a seperate project and performed on the night of March 6th 2004, in Manchester to an unreceptive and quite hostile audiance. ( I was actually there..) Perhaps even he understands a few things about the fickle whims of the public as well. As for me, and my loose friendship with Pete Shelley, in my ideas about him are he's more perceptive and deeper than anyone gives him credit for publicly with a really self destructive edge at times. Most people consider Howard Devoto a strange fish, but they have to remember that Pete and Howard were both the founders of one of the first and formost bands that could be called "Punk" after the Sex Pistols, in 1976. And that Pete although semi popular, is also kind of deep and thoughtfull in the way that the press and other people seem to dislike Howard. I think you could say that communication IS a major part of what he does. I wonder with the new tour going solo soon without his band after January, if he will see the same sucess that pulled him away from his band in the early 80's? (they eventually reformed later) www.cosmik.com/aa-september03/pete_shelley.htmlan interview from last year I found....

Thanks for giving this example. Your personal insights really bring it to life.
It’s good to see he makes use of the “written and spoken word”!
I suspect he’ll do well solo, especially with Jupiter in his first and Uranus transiting the 6th, Saturn in his 10th. The partial eclipse yesterday was trine to his Fortuna/Jupiter conjunction in the 10th and transiting Eros was there exact (21 Cancer). It makes me think of passionate optimism. I think he will find new parts of himself on this tour.
Again, great example!
Blessings, Kim
