Hello Everyone! Hopefully your August is progressing well! Lots of astro-activity for sure and some of the more interesting threads have been really active! Because of the heightened activity in the skies, I am wondering how the September Eclipses will affect each one of us....if at all? The first Lunar eclipse will be on September 7th at PIS 15. The second Solar eclipse will be on September 22nd at VIR 29. Where do they fall in your chart? Are these eclipses tied in with activities which may have occurred during the eclipses of March 2006? Just a brief list of ideas from a writer- Aries and Libra: Job changes, hidden things coming to light
Taurus and Scorpio: Changes in love and friendship, creativity and children
Gemini and Sagittarius: Changes in career and residential or family matters
Cancer and Capricorn: Changes in matters relating to education, travel, communication or matters relating to foreign enterprises
Leo and Aquarius: Changes related to financial matters
Virgo and Pisces: Personal changes and growth, changes in key relationshipsHere is a link to the interesting read: blog.thirdage.com/?p=682Do these eclipses trigger any placements in your natal chart? If so, how do you feel about them? Also, please use this thread to post any interesting articles about these upcoming eclipses!! Hugs- GemStar

hey gemstar, thanks so much for posting this. the eclipse on september 22 at 29 virgo (conjunct the AP -- this one will be very interesting to watch!) will conjunct my natal pluto at 28 virgo in 12, oppose natal sun at 28 pisces in 6, and square my natal moon at 27 sag in 3. it's gonna hit my t-square! it hits gordon's sun exactly, within minutes. im very interested to see what happens. freespiritcentre.info/article.php?cid=37&id=1540c

Hello Jade! You are both welcome!! I prefer to be slightly ahead of the events so that I learn to be more aware of the 'opportunities' which might present themselves as the eclipse dates draw closer! Thank YOU so much for posting further information and articles pertaining to these upcoming eclipses! I realize that there are probably several eclipse threads way back when in the archives, however, I like to keep the information updated with the current placements and influences!! Yesterday, I finally downloaded the software to work out my Draconic chart. Now I will have to study the Draconic threads and figure out what it all means....that will be on my 'to-do' list this week! The upcoming Solar eclipse will be opposing my 5h natal Saturn (Pis 29) and squaring my 8h natal Sun (Gem 29). The Lunar eclipse will directly oppose my 10h natal Pluto and Uranus ( VIR 16) conjunction...which also squares my 8h natal Mars ( GEM 16). Hmmm....lots more activity than I realized!!!! The lunar eclipse will hit my love's natal Moon head-on!!!! Talk about a double whammy!! Throw in the tr Uranus and you have some major awakenings!! Lots being stirred up in his chart of late and though I hate to see turmoil with him, growth is important for all of us! Great happenings for you Jade-I am excited for you too!! Hugs- GemStar

i just noticed something. i was looking at the chart i set up for the september eclipse, and i saw that venus at that time will be at 20 virgo. mars will be at 9 libra. so what i noticed was that the sun/moon combo, being at 29 virgo, will be right on venus/mars midpoint. in fact, i noticed that the sun/moon combo would be considered conjunct both venus and mars, and square pluto. i'm searching around trying to find some stuff about the sept 22 eclipse being conjunct the AP...here's a few links i've come across: www.astrology-source.com/solar.htmwww.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=247745and this blurb: The next solar eclipse occurs September 22. This eclipse, instead of bringing climaxes, leads most importantly to the birth of a situation, role or project. For people born September 21/22/23 (in any year) it brings the birth of a new life, and removal of the old; for December 21/23/24 people, the removal of a career or parenting role, birth of a new role. If you were born March 21/22/23, it ends a partnership or public role, and births a new one; if you were born June 21/22/23, it signals a change of home, removal of a child or furniture, and the birth of new domestic or security situations. These events will probably occur within a week or two of September 22. The "removal" event will be more obvious than the birth, as births slowly grow from small beginnings, whereas things that are lost are usually fully-grown and their removal is obvious. A pumpkin that falls off the shelf is more obvious than the slow growth of a pumpkin seed deep in the soil. This is why astrologers traditionally have treated eclipses as "dire omens" rather than the climactic and birth signals that they are. and this one: September 22 Eclipse in Virgo/Libra The second eclipse occurs on the 22nd of September and is a bit complicated. The sun and the moon will both be at 29 degrees of Virgo. This is the last degree of the sign, so effectively the eclipse will be effecting the following sign, Libra. Expect communication issues to be at the forefront during this eclipse. Be conscious at work or you may find yourself in the midst of a power struggle. Remember that how you react to the dynamic energies around you is your choice. This can be a period of the emotional clashing with the logical. Strive to keep your inner communication clear and balanced. and this, this author mentions the AP but calls it the world point: Both New Moon and Full Moon are Eclipses this month. On the 7th there is a Partial Moon Eclipse at 15°-00' Pisces and the Eclipse occurs at 2:52 p.m. EDT. It can be observed in most of Europe, Africa and Asia. Changes are possible in the lives of those with planetary energies in or near the 15° Pisces and/or 15° of Virgo-the opposite sign. The Annular Solar Eclipse at 29°-20' Virgo occurs on the 22nd at 7:45 a.m. and is visible from Guyana and parts of South America, and Western Africa. For those with planetary energies in or near 29° of Virgo, this area of your natal chart will be highly activated for the next 6 months and the main focus of your attention. You will clearly see what things are out of order in your lives. Eclipses have a tendency to intensify situations and events around an eclipse are very fated. It is not a good idea to make any major decision or start any new project a week before an eclipse as it is a very unstable time. New information arrives in the week following its occurrence that forces us to revise our plans. The fact that the Solar Eclipse is eclipsing Mars(@29° Virgo) in the Lunar Eclipse Chart, tells us that the energy is aggressive. Any charts that are hit by this Eclipse will take its direct force. The Solar Eclipse is on the Ascendant of Indiana & Ohio in the North down through Mississippi in the South. This Eclipse is also only 1° from a world point (0° of Cardinal Signs--Aries, Libra, Cancer & Capricorn). Any activity at the World Points is very important as the energy finds direct expression in the World. and here's another, where the AP is mentioned, if only birefly: September 22- New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29+ degrees of Virgo 7:45 AM EDT This is an important eclipse, as it happens so close to one of the major seasonal turning points of the year. It is the second new moon in Virgo in a row. Virgo themes are intensified, as solar eclipses are new moons with much more power. Though this time of the year is usually a time to begin to settle down into autumn's cooler breezes of harmony and balance, the metaphoric heat of summer's force continues. Virgo lets us know what needs to be fixed or repaired, and gets us in touch with the simple "bare-bones" of a situation. It does not like anything flying too high or out of control, and wants to know what is real, even if that reality deflates us and causes disillusion. So look for events that keep you humble and real, and help you make your life simpler. Events that shake us out of our "dream world" are likely. if i find anything else i'lllet you guys know...

Thank you chrissy! We can always count on you to have a plethora of information at a moment's notice!!! GREAT READING material! Hugs- GemStar PS-Rather interesting comment about the week prior to an eclipse being especially volatile...this coincides with the August 28-31 sky activity! I prefer to be slightly ahead of the events so that I learn to be more aware of the 'opportunities' which might present themselves as the eclipse dates draw closer! I had to chuckle at that one because I am so swamped by the current Sat/Neptune energies, which are squaring my natal neptune & jupiter, that the thought of anticipating anything else "big" turns me googley-eyed! 8^P Gem, the lunar eclipse in your 4th makes me immediately think of changes (or changes of view) regarding the home you refurbished & are considerinng remaining in, as well as your desire to come up with some new money-making avenues. I bet it will energize those pursuits some way. What do you think about the solar eclipse opposing your saturn? The Lunar eclipse at 15Pisces occurs in my 6h house, exactly sextiling/trining my natal 2nd house Neptune and 8th-house Jupiter. Would definitely anticipate a change in work & means of income. Am working diligently toward that end right now, and would imagine that I'll see evidence of these efforts around that time. The Solar eclipse at 29Virgo occurs near my 06Libra ASC toward the end of my 12th house. I would imagine that my ASC/DSC axis will be strongly influenced by this one, as well as my natal 0Cancer Sun conjunct Venus/NN/MC... career & visibility. Time to project myself out in the professional world more, now, after 8 months of relatively private creative pursuits. Last night I dreamt my Granddaughter fell off of an edge into a watery depth and I had to go down and retrieve her, and resuscitate her. Jade, that's a powerful dream!!!! I remember having a similiar type of dream regarding my son, where actually I had gotten to him too late to resuscitate him, and the ultimate effect was very powerful because when I woke up I had experienced so profoundly my love for him. I told him about the dream, and how I had felt utterly shattered by having lost him, and telling him this brought him much closer to me emotionally afterwards. Ever since, actually. He really felt how much I love him and how much he matters to me. This is an optimistic but profound time. Very inspiring to hear that, Jade. I'm having a difficult day taking care of details that aren't quite finding nicely tied-up ends, and hearing your optimistic approach lifts me up. An unusually stressed Samina... 8^P

found a little more info, guys --
The second eclipse occurs on September 22, 2006 at 4:41 am PDT. The sun and moon are at 29 degrees of Virgo, so for all intent and purposes the eclipse affects Libra. There's a nice stellium in Virgo, if you count the asteroids: Sun, Moon, Vesta, Venus and Juno. Lots of archetypal energy to tap into. Try some ritual at this time. Saturn is lurking behind in Leo, so there's always something solid to fall back on. Mercury and Mars are together in Libra, and while Libra might make it a mite more diplomatic, communication is bound to be confrontive during this eclipse. The asteroid Pallas, conjuncts Pluto, which brings a powerful ally (Pluto=Hades) to Pallas' head strong intellect. All the planets are on one side of the chart nearly, Leo (Saturn) to Uranus in Pisces) and it'll depend on your rising sign, whether you give or receive; whether you are the actor or the re-actor. At the time of the Solar Eclipse in September, Pluto in Sag is squaring the eclipse plus Venus. It's like the foundation of the eclipse is frought with intrigue and power issues. Pallas is there with Pluto to add an ultra logical element to it. Pluto is emotion so it's going to chafe at the logic of Pallas.....but Virgo does love that aspect of communication.
***********
On Friday Sept. 22 the Sun and Moon join for the second Virgo New Moon creating a solar eclipse that can be see in parts of south America and Africa. The second same sign New Moon is know as the Sidhe of Faeries Moon. It is the second new moon in the same star constellation in a 30-day time span. It is also called the Black Moon in the Wiccan tradition and is considered an extremely powerful time for ritual and ceremony. The Sun enters Libra on this day late in the evening energizing the desire for peaceful relations. Venus will also enter Libra on Sept 30th further strengthening the relationship orientated Libran energies.
••••••••••••••••••••
In the year 2006 we will have two New Moons in the sign of Virgo. This is the astrological equivalent of a “Blue” Moon, and is an unusual occurrence. Such a “double” New Moon in Virgo will not happen again for approximately 19 years. In a technical sense you will have TWO chances to work with Virgo-related situations and things this year. In a higher mode, this Dark Moon will last from the entry of the Moon into Virgo on August 23 UNTIL the New Moon of September 22. With two Dark Moons in the sign of Virgo, if you cannot achieve your desires with the Virgo New Moon in August, you will again have an opportunity to achieve it during the Virgo New Moon in September. This will give you two chances to reach your goals.
This period between August 23 and September 22 is an exceptionally powerful period in that the second Virgo New Moon is an Annular Solar Eclipse, which will clearly cut ties with the past and open a new path to the future. The second Virgo Dark Moon period between September 20 and September 22 takes on additional potency. Prior to the September 22 eclipse New Moon the lunar cycle is in a “natural” flow, with each New Moon followed by a Full Moon in the opposite sign. With the New Moon of September 22 the lunar energy changes to a New Moon with a following Full Moon in a sign with a different modality and inharmonious element. Thus the September 22 eclipse will disrupt the energy within the lunar cycle as the new path takes form.

AND, a friend happened to send me this info from celeste teal's book on eclipses...
here is if an eclipse falls on one's natal pluto:
"An eclipse to Pluto generally brings some permanent changes in life; however, this may be a slow and lengthy process. Pluto governs the 8th house of death and rebirth. It works from below the surface, although its subtlety should not lead you to think that it is not a powerful force at work. With a natural understanding that bringing improvement sometimes requires the destruction of the old, once the source of blockage is exposed, it is often eliminated for good. This process may be related to many things and brings an opportunity for self-improvement, such as kicking a bad habit. There may be contacts with healers or counselors and a new association could mark a major turning point in life. Intense and complicated relationship themes may also come to the fore with this eclipse. Pluto sometimes points to power struggles or confrontations. Pluto shares many similarities with Mars. There may be manipulations, jealousies, or resentments that interfere with normally healthy relationships. It may also symbolize sexual frustrations or desires that are not being met, leading to experimentation in an extracurricular affair."
and here is info if the eclipse falls on your natal sun:
"An eclipse to the Sun may very well get you noticed, and it often signifies important contacts and crucial decisions. A close association brought about by this eclipse is often the source of new experience. With a positive eclipse, your confidence gets a boost and obstacles that have previously slowed your efforts may suddenly clear. Doors open and there are positive changes in the degree of recognition you enjoy. Rewards are forthcoming. Your sense of personal power and importance may soar, but be very careful how you utilize this newfound strength because developments here can have a major impact in the long term. With a difficult eclipse to the Sun, you may initially experience an identity crisis or wonder about your handling of life, feeling quite unequipped to handle all that's expected. Self-image may be at an all-time low, and there are feelings of inferiority. Problems crop up, and the ego/identity may feel trampled upon. Ego desires must take a back burner, and it is an effort just to maintain position by remaining inobtrusive, demanding little. The Sun is associated with central figures, so this eclipse often brings to light issues or concerns involving the losses or gains of a benefactor, usually a masculine figure. Events in connection with a close father figure or another important supporter may arise, where their forturnes have a direct impact on you. There may be new connections or separations. Persons whose affairs come into focus include the father or husband. The energy of the Sun is likened to the affairs of the Fifth House of the horoscope. This is the spirit that animates us, and it is involved in those activities where we really come alive and experience joy. If you look back, you will probably notice that there were times in your life when you felt exceptionally fulfilled as opportunities allowed you to easily express your natural passion. Other times, it may have seemed that life just didn't allow for much fun and play. An eclipse to the Sun will bring emphasis to the way you feel about these things. The Sun is symbolic of the vital life force, and therefore any health irregularities should not go unattended. The Sun, sensitized by an eclipse, sometimes causes one to be vulnerable to accidents, similar to an eclipse on the Ascendant. In matters of health, the Sun is associated with the heart and circulation and with vital energy afforded through the chest and lung capacity."
i actually want to get that book.

wow this thread is amazing...
I'm on 'reading deprivation' this week (doing 'the artists way' programme) so before I go underground thought I'd pop in and make a contribution here.
Sami - I completely sympathise with being swamped under by the Saturn-Neptune energy...hope you can get some relief before too long.
Gem...Jade it all looks like exciting times for you!
this eclipse season is activating my North Node at 29'43 Pisces on my MC/IC axis...Not to mention my natal Uranus at 0 Libra...
... this feels all very much like part of my NN Return and as though I have a fresh chance to reboot and make changes to parts of my self that are long over due for regeneration. Such as how I feel 'out there in the world' - Pluto has been squaring my MC and IC for ages now and I need to move this energy along... as someone said recently, time to shit or get off the pot! (Virgo does rule the bowel does it not?!?! lol)
I feel changed already! Not only because of the new relationship (more developments on this, which I'll come back to when I've got through this week's activities) but just generally recognising how much 'work' I've done successfully this year.
It might be good to look at the charts for these eclipses - Yes?
oooh by the way, with Mars scooting through Virgo how is everyone feeling the conjunctions with Pluto/Uranus etc? Intense eh?
catch everyone soon, lots of love!

Uranus will be in opposition to my stellium and particularly Mars in Virgo for a long time to go... I def need some anger management.
The 7th of Sep eclipse will have Merc on Merc and Sun on Mars, with Moon opposing it. Venus on natal Pluto, Saturn on my Vertex. DC on Jupiter, AC-DC axis for Amsterdam equal to my progressed AC-DC axis. The 3rd will be my birthday, so I imagine a lot of these placements will play a role in the Solar Return. Mars on erotic asteroids.
The later Eclipse will have Merc on Venus, Moon and Sun/MC on the erotic asteroids, Venus on Mars-Merc midpoint. I won't even look at the asteroids separately. And then the Nodes. All this in 8. I do not want to be prepared at all. I'll meditate heaps the coming month, seems the best solution for me. Usually these configurations only get me nervous and full of expectations and mentally too charged, (and even worse with this one, with my Mercury/Mars conjunction activated) which in my case only prevents synchronicity doing its work. I want to be as open and FREE as possible. Feel I want/need to give my gipsy side more space, Uranus in 7 and Saturn in Sag trining it.
Love to you all! Juliet
I'm glad Lilith has moved past my Mars, did not want to see any men!!!

Hey Samina! Well....the strangest thing of late (over the past 3-4 weeks) is that I have been sent loads of people (all ages 30-59yo) who are looking for career changes. A variety of friends and family had chosen to refer these job-seekers to ME!!! People I do not even know! I have to laugh sort of because I am not really in the corporate world anymore...though keep up on the overall trends. Ultimately, I feel it is the 'opening of minds' toward possible opportunities that I provide for these people. So...I try my best, give the time and attention to guiding them and their angst the best I can. For me, I am often scattered with various projects as it is....but it seems to be that an overall energy of 'change' is affecting MANY. Do you ever feel better when you focus on other people and help them find their way-as opposed to stressing about your own decisions?? That is how I feel....and hopefully, I have helped in a positive way...and the good Karma will be stored for future use! Random people being referred to me about career changes has always happened....but of late, the numbers have increased!! Just odd to me. (ESPECIALLY since I no longer work for anyone!!!!!!) Just wild. As for my 4th house being triggered with this lunar eclipse in Pisces...well, I HAVE had loads of energy of late...though Mars running through my 10th is a help! Still on the fence about my next financial step. My Dad continues to send me 'ominous' real estate articles in his way to push me to sell now. I gotta live somewhere!! Geez.....after I made the decision to quit answering his questions about the house (I quit playing THE GAME), he stopped calling me for 5 weeks!! Power struggles of course.....his deal, not mine. Anyway....this leads me to the Solar eclipse which opposes my Pis Saturn in 5th and square my Gem Sun in 8th....I do not know what to make of this. My creative mind is definitely in motorized position....my dreams are filled with a lot of action in ALL WAYS!! Truthfully, I am asking the Universe each night to guide me with direction and ideas to balance all that I want to accomplish...(books, real estate....income etc...). My main issue is that I am distracted by too many things. People needing this help or that....sub-contractors behind on jobs....me finding piddley things to do on some days and by Friday, I wonder where the week went! Time flies and occasionally I send out resumes when an interesting position crosses my path...but no return calls. Which is also a weird thing for me. Personally, I think because I have left that world behind, the Universe wants me to believe in myself a bit more and trust that I will be fine! The door seems closed in that direction at the moment. Should I feel happy or sad? I don't know. I feel a bit of both!! I am all for fresh energy to pursue new ideas...so maybe this Solar eclipse will do just that! Tr Saturn is at the peak of my chart-the MC! YIKES! What if I have not done enough for Saturn to be satisfied? What if I took a wrong turn by leaving corporate life and pursuing my hobby as a career? Well...you can not let 'What ifs' rule your world... So I trust in my path...and hope that if I strayed too far from the road, I will be lead back!! Or, perhaps I AM on the road that is best for me and Saturn's rewards will unfold! Hard to say for me right now. How do I weigh spiritual growth vs material growth($)? I have acquired both along this way but am not sure if I was supposed to keep my corporate job AND do my passion. Or...was this exactly how I was meant to work it...perhaps it is! The answers are there somewhere....and I do love this project I am close to completing! It is such a great street and I am proud when strangers exclaim how it is their favorite street in the entire city! It feels good to me to hold onto it for a while longer. For me to do so, I can not ignore the financial end of things...and do not want to be pushed into a corner if I have not figured out the income aspect of the plan. How do I focus on myself when I am too busy worrying about everyone else?? (Cancer Moon) My Neptune conj my ASC is working overtime these days as I absorb the general energies out there in the world...it certainly feels intense! Thus, I am grateful for my cycling class where I can pedal like a bat outta hell and then find my center again the next day in Yoga. So....Samina...long story short (hee-hee), I hope this does bring new ideas for me! One more confession, I have been sensing bigger visions for myself and have hopes of greater financial rewards than I have accomplished to date. It feels like I CAN do it...at least that is a BEGINNING!! Hey Prima-Thanks for checking in with us! Miss seeing you around here!! This solar eclipse hits your URANUS!! (And SNode)....Keep us informed as you continue to feel the changes you are experiencing!! Great times of change for you on many levels!! Hugs- GemStar PS-Thanks Chrissy for the further articles!! They are helpful!! ;D

It looks like these eclipses might be quite eventful. Thinking back to the major event in 87 we finished building the home (sort of, 20 years later it still isn't finished) I live in. The real event, though was an older neighbor (Saturn in 3rd) told my 2nd son that I favored his older brother over him. Now, Pluto sits very close to Lie, and this was. Hershey (hear say) and Juno are at the eclipse degree at the end of my 2nd. It is the solstice point of my Saturn/Pluto.
I was devistated at this misuse of power. My son is very sensitive and immediately went into a shell. It was all I could do to get him to till me what was wrong. I confronted the neighbor in a firm but loving way and he was indignant with me. No matter what, he overstepped the boundaries herel. And to make it worse, it was true of my husband. But I would never want to point that out to my son. Apparantely he was projecting my ex onto me. His parents were quite preferential also. I love each of my sons for their uniqueness and there is something special I share with each one. David is my son that will dress in drag for Halloween, and he's gorgeous. He makes me laugh. But at that eclipse the 29 degrees shed many tears. This degree sits on my ex's 8th. He just moved in another of my adult children so he'll probably have more assistance with the bills. Sadly, it looks like he's divorcing.
The lunar eclipse squares my husbands MC/IC but neither of us has any planets very close.

i was thinking too about 1987, and what happened that year. the eclipse in september 87 would have conjuncted my natal pluto, opposed my natal sun, and squared my natal moon (within 1° orb or less), and then the eclipse in march 88 would have been right on my natal sun (and therefore opposing natal pluto and squaring natal moon). the year 1988 was a big one for me, not all of it was pleasant. that was the year the medication i had been put on for my TS just did me in (anti-psychotic sedatives are never fun, nevermind what they say), and i spent some time in the hospital. i was depressed and out of it. 88-89 was my senior year in high school, and since i had to spend part of the school year in the hospital i did my school work through correspondence. i still managed to keep on top of things, thankfully, and i got accepted to my college of choice in the fall of 88. i was released from the hospital somewhere in late fall 88, and i went back to school and things seemed to regulate themselves. very intense year, lots happened. now i am older and am on no medication except the meds i now take for interstitial cystitis, which hopefully i wont have to be forever. i'm in a much better place, too -- i was barely 18 at the last set of eclipses. or well, i turned 18 on the day of the eclipse that hit my sun in 88, but i was 17 at the september 87 eclipse. next year the same thing will happen -- on march 18 or 19, 2007, there will be an eclipse in the last degree or the degree before last of pisces, and that eclipse will be on my birthday (or the day before, i think it is). already i can sense the weight of these 2 eclipses, the one in late september and the one in march of next year...i'm poised on the brink of much change. experiences like getting a new place that is all my own, potentially relocating, and deepening a relationship are just at my fingertips. aquarian essence, i'm sorry to hear about that experience with your son -- about the pain it must have caused, i mean. i found this link here y-day and meant to share it: www.bigskyastrology.com/eclipseastrology.htmlshe has articles about eclipses that hit natal sun, moon or uranus. chrissy
