I was very interested to know if anyone can better explain the difference between a Draconic Chart (an expression of soul based personality) and Esoteric Astrology ala Alice Bailey (an expression of soul based personality). These seem to have similar theme but also seem somewhat different. I know there are also technical differences as well. I have researched and read that both these systems are expressions of soul underlying personality and give clues to soul purpose and manifestation that is quite different from personality drives, complexes, aspirations, etc. Also, with Esoteric Astrology the hierarchical planets are expressions of a much more refined, higher, spiritualized system of energies that interplay more cosmically on a grand scale. I am really interested to know how the draconic compares to this.
Thanks!!!!

Hi Queensirius,
I think you'll find that the Draconic chart is simply another zodiac--another 'background' energy for the planets and points. We have three--the tropical zodiac, the sidereal and the draconic. They each show us a different aspect of any given moment of time. I like to see them as dimensions--parallel but unique.
I don't find it's the type of chart or the methodology so much that reveals insights as it is the reader. The more you study your own astrology, and others, the more you will discover those refined, intricate and spiritual meanings, no matter what system you use.
Alice Bailey read tropical zodiac charts (the common western chart) I believe. It was her insights that led to the rich interpretations.
What do others think? Is it the method or the reader? What leads to the deepest interpretations?
Thanks for asking--it's a very interesting query. I only just caught it!!!
Best wishes, Kim
