Wow, thank you all for your Light and prayers, we felt them all buoying us throughout the long day! I was reminded of the absolute reality of prayers and intent.
The surgery was very successful--they were able to spare all the nerves that control bladder and sexual function and they are pretty sure they got all the disease. He has a few more tests to determine if it has spread to the lymph nodes, but they are pretty sure it has not.
He came out of the anesthesia very well--when I was finally allowed to go into the recovery room he was lying on the gurney with his head sticking up, looking around the room! It was pretty funny.
It is in the recovery that his hard work continues.
I say this to my Kim's forum friends who have been on the Eros journey with me--I know that I am in love with C, but am blessed with a continual renewal of love for my husband within our commitment. It is interesting that the Venus/Uranus conjunction is right on our composite Ceres in the 7th!!!
And as I waited yesterday, reading, writing, walking, praying, I was also reminded that my natal Neptune in 12th Libra seems to really need the hospital expression. It was not me in the hospital this time--for a change--, but my husband. I remember that the longest time I went without being in the hospital were the years I was organizing musical benefits performend by my students or groups with whom I was working at the time, for various social causes--women's and homeless shelters, soup kitchens, the Humane Society, etc. If THAT kind of thing isn't an expression of 12th house Neptune in Libra at Vesta and the ASC, I don't what is! And evidentally, I better get back into that soon!
Our kids, ages 17 and 13, seem to be doing pretty well with all this so far.
Kim, I will drop you a line soon.
Blessings and love, Amoroso

Dear Amoroso,
thanks for keeping us updated. I am thrilled everything went so well. Lots of blessings to your husband and yourself, and you children.
It's interesting what you say about how your Neptune in 12th manifests itself. Mine is in 3rd but close to the IC, and one interpretation I read (I think the Mark site) says that I should volunteer time in hospitals and institutions to ward off becoming a patient there myself in my later years, lol... I think he may have a point, make your karma your friend, or something like that, haha.
Listen, I like what you say about your relationship with your husband. I can totally relate to that. Even though I am not in love with anyone right now, I easily could be, and at the same time I could have a satisfying relationship with my husband if things were different between us. The human heart is so much more capacious than what this rotten society would have us believe.... I think a person could easily have deep but different feelings for several men/women simultaneously if we weren't all so conditioned for exclusivity. But nobody likes to share, this kind of thing probably only works for the one who does the loving, not the one being loved.

Dear Amoroso-
I'm sorry I haven't said much, as much as these situations are difficult, when you both pull through, you both will be stronger for it all.. and with that in mind, it reminds me that I have a sort of Chiron wound that keeps being touched when I am made aware of the suffering of others, its sometimes reminding one of a hurt place in one's self that can't seem to get over the loss of others, even though the letting go wasn't the difficult part.
Then sometimes with Chiron, when I see others suffering, it makes me feel unworthy of my own blessings.. not that I want to suffer, but its just that its as if I never earned them and will eventually have to "pay for it" in the future.. but I could be wrong.. as there are always so many new lessons to learn for everyone.
I'm glad for you that everything is going well, and that everyone's blessings have warmed you and bubbled over your family like a healing wave of good feeling and happy thoughts.. with that in mind, I realized that I needed a few laughs and how much better my son and I feel after we laugh.. maybe after all this you have gone through, you both could laugh too?
I hope the blessing of love, laughter, friendship, good feelings and a long life will come to you via positive thinking and well wishes from everyone-
with love
Sfinxen

It's good to know the surgeons are so optimistic! It's like holding your breath until you find out!
And yes, I think you need some new Neptune/12th house Libra activities and quick!
Talk soon!
Love, Kim

I am following up on some horaries today in the interest of continuing to learn!
Interesting that the NN is in the 8th house--the way to "move forward" is in the traditional horary house of surgery, with Mars, traditionally in horary signifying (cuts, surgery, burns) at the MC. The surgery involved both lasers and traditional "cutting."
Jupiter is at the IC, which is in Scorpio, house symbol of regenerative/sexula organs, perhaps showing a good outcome to the surgery.
Kim and others, what do you think that Neptune conjunct Pars Fortunae in 6th Aquarius might mean?
Perhaps he is mistaken if he thinks he can return to work as usual?
Thanks, Amoroso
PS. In the 3-4 horaries I have cast in matters about C, Mars has appeared as his significator in the 8th. We were interpreting that as him in my house of erotic transofrmation, but what if he has undergone some major surgery also? Interesting!

I was thinking if Your husband is 7th house, thus Uranus/Saturn ruled, his 8th house is the 2nd house of the chart...
Looking that up, it is Mercury as the ruler of that, coming into conjunction with Venus (which is Retrograde) so the healing or treatment or delving into the 8th house depths is sped up via your open communication of love, or by a phillisophical way of thinking..
Neptune and Part of Fortune in conjunction seems to sugest that you have alot of healthy "faith" that everything is as it should be.. but at the same time the Moon, your co-ruler is going into conjunction with Saturn, (also retrograde) Saturn being the co-ruler, traditional ruler of Aquarious, on the 7th house... thus these two are joining up in HIS 6th house, YOUR 12th house. The Moon is the 12th house ruler of the chart, and your co ruler, so in some way you represent HIS health.
With the opposition of Jupiter and Mars on the 9th house/3rd house axis it says to me something about your home life/communication IC from the 3rd.. and Philosophical/career -MC from the 9th... and the reversed... it is a case of divergance, however, with Jupiter and Pluto in Mutual Reception, it is supposed to eliminate any "evil influence" so this T-Square, will be tension, but won't amount to being ripped appart, even though the Moon will eventually pass over the "empty end" of the T-Square and turn it into a grand cross for a time, the last aspect will be a Moon trine Pluto; but the last aspect will take some time.
The things I "see" are that if that Jupiter in HIS 9th, its a case of Philosophical attitude towards life; this is represented not only once by Jupiter, but by HIS 9th house ruler in your 5th house/ His 11th house (the axis between romantic feeling or children or creative ideas ect/ friendships, wishes, groups ) 11th house could be a group of people offering a positive philosophy which could bring about healing quicker.. maybe a "mind/body/spirit connection" group of people with a clearly positive outlook on healing rather than a strictly "traditional" drug oriented/surgery oriented type of healing.. due to the fact I see that the lunar south node is in HIS 8th- It was your 8th, which had the NN.
It can mean many things.
With the Sun, the chart ruler in your 6th house, it brings about concerns about your own health, and with the Moon as the co-ruler in the 12th it seems to say that you are worried about HIS health, (HIS 6th is your 12th) and that you have a healthy sense of self concern, not only for your daily habits but his as well, 6th House can be work, or vocation or service or HEALTH and the fact that both are shown to be very strong, seems to say that both of you are interconnected, and that you may have to deal with that.. what effects him effects you, and visa versa, and what afflicts you, also afflicts him and visa versa...
The chart seems to show that what ever the case, there will NEED to be a time of adjustment, and because of the plantets involved and their placement in fixed signs, that the adjustment will take some time.
Jupiter/Pluto seems to sugest a positive transformation via 9th/11th and 3rd/5th house related things... and for me it spells out a need for the thought process and communication based in Love, Friendship and positive spiritual examples.
I hope he remembers not to push himself (or you too hard) and with Neptune in your 6th house, that you also remember not to push yourself too hard out of the need to be of service because that too could be detrimental to the health of both of you.
(I feel Neptune in the 6th in a Natal chart has this effect, either "mysterious illness" due to daily strain in the life, or the absolute denial that you NEED anything at all.. and thus unknowingly become a martyr because you don't "allow" yourself to NEED..I find Neptune in the Natal chart in a house full of people who have it in the 6th exactly about denying one is EVER sick..and pushing yourself way over the edge.. my son for example!!!)
Neptune in Your 6th in the Horary seems to say, "Be aware, you may not be aware of your own needs" (especially because Neptune rules YOUR 8th in this chart) and with POF in conjunction, it seems as though it may actually be keeping your attitude up, and thus helping HIS fears to be elliminated - YOUR 6th, HIS 12th..his spirituality, in a non-traditional sense and his need to work on "karma"...or work it out.
This is what I get not reading what Kim or you wrote previously, now I will go back and take a look at what was posted about this chart earlier. I want to test myself, and forget what was written and try to see other things if I can.
I hope all is well, perhaps this "time off" is mearly a blessing of some time together? (trying to look at the positive side, just like I see Johan's lack of job (and mine) as more time for us to see each other).
Be well and I hope that everything feels fine,

I think Fortuna is 'protective' and gives a faster recovery when in the 6th. Whatever Fortuna aspects, she brings 'gain' there, so Neptune (which is one of the depositors of Fortuna) improves via shorter stays in hospital, less confusion, less chance of misdiagnosis etc. The 'outcome' of the surrey is the 11th house, ruled by Mercury in Capricorn...more indicative to a 'speedy return to work'. I'd have to think he would be able to get back to work soon. Is that not the case? How are things going??? Let us know Kim

Wow, Sven, Jade and Kim, you are all really right on target on this one!!!!!
And yes, he did have an amzingly speedy return to work. He worked part time from home last week and went full time this week, just three weeks after the surgery.
He was outside clearing brush and doing other manly things 10 days after the surgery. I was concerned that he would over due it but he was ok and did rest when he felt tired.
Thanks for those insights. I do think there was a double dose of protection on this one!
Blessings, Amoroso
