Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has any insights to my upcoming Venus Returns. Yes, plural! On July 21, I will have my Venus Return, followed 12 days later by its return retrograde (transiting Venus stations that close to my natal Venus). And 3 months later I will have the return of the Venus Return as transiting Venus moves forward again. I have the return charts on Photobucket, if that helps: July 21: Aug 2: Oct 10: How do I interpret these returne, particularly the station and the retrograde return? Do you look at the retrograde return at all and if so, is there a difference in how a retrograde Venus Return (and its ensuing months) acts? Thanks for any help! And if I need to supply other information or whatever, please let me know. I could try posting these charts directly into this message but I'm not sure how to do that. If you'd prefer to see the charts here, please clue me in on how to clip them into a message. Thanks so much for any insights! 3HN

Hi 3rdhousenorth We would need your natal chart to see which natal house on the Asc. of the return is hi-lighted. With three returns, you have then three different Ascendents indicating three different natal houses that are at "first house importance" (as Kim calls it). In comparing each return to your natal you would also look at the house that return Venus itself falls in and the aspects it makes. In the first return you have Venus right in the first, so your natal Venus is very "first house important", but which house is natal Venus in? Or, what house does 12 Leo represent. (We would be a fine pair, your Venus is right on my Pluto! And your Return Asc. is right on my 3rd house Uranus..LOL But alas, I like boys anyway....LOL) In the return, the opp. from return Saturn to Neptune with Venus separating might indicate that you have found some semblance of balance from past experience. I can't answer how the retro. Venus will act. I suspect you would look at that chart the same as the "normal" chart... what is emphasized and what is asking for further attention. Hopefully others will have some impute. Are you familiar with Kim's "Return's" page? It gives other info. like what element is hi-lighted, what kind of pattern does the chart make, etc. Flower

Thanks, flower. I have worked with Kim's Returns instructions - very helpful. I was just curious about this stationing and with the retrograde, what that does to the picture. Here's my natal chart (thanks, Juliet!): Venus Return 1 is very close to my natal chart. (Hey, my own Venus is right on my own Pluto! We must be around the same age. And I like boys, too. ;D) 3HN

Hi, 3rdhousenorth. You and I share ascendant degree and Sun signs. The final return chart is said to be the only important one but with my triple Chiron return I clearly say the importance of all, expecially the Rx hit. That is when the injury to my left arm happened that led to nerve issues being discovered in both arms. Interesting, though, the left arm was the one in pain but their tests only showed ulnar nerve slowing in the right arm. Chiron is on the left of my chart, in the 6th and I know their tests just aren't showing everything. If the pain was caused by scar tissue they can't see that anyway. This could be due to the fact that Uranus (ruling my Chiron) is in mutual reception with Neptune.
Anyway, I would watch events that happen when Venus enters shadow and take extra care over Venus issues when she makes her Rx pass. She is dancing with Saturn throughout so he is involved. Jupiter is transiting your Saturn so that would lighten burdens, I think. Looking at where they are in each chart, I wonder, not knowing your family situation, if you might have a child leaving the nest, graduating, going away to college, getting married or something like that.

AquarianEssence - that's funny, that you have both Ascendant same degree and Sun sign. I also have Moon conjunct my Ascendant - and my Venus/Pluto is at the midpoint between my Moon and my Sun, so that adds to Venus' importance in my chart.
I have no children. However my mother, who has had some Saturn affect on my life, and who I've felt very responsible for emotionally since a child because of her emotional problems, was just admitted to a dementia facility this week. She's had Alzheimer's for several years now. My parents moved away (they were 90 miles from me, now about 1000 miles) nearly 2 years ago to live near my brother - lifting some of the responsibility I've felt for her/them. But now with her moving into a facility, it's more final. I also happen to have Saturn transiting my Moon (opposing my Chiron), so that fits there, too.
I see Chiron in the 6th for you is health issues. I have Chiron on my Descendant - relationship issues, and opposite Moon to add emotional issues to that. I hope your health issues heal. Is your Chiron return over now?
Care with Venus issues. I'll have to continue to keep that in mind. Saturn will conjunct my Venus in Sept., so I think that will become very clear (as the need to protect myself emotionally and set boundaries has come clear with Saturn transiting my Moon). My progressed Venus, by the way, is conjuncting my natal Neptune, so I realize the need to watch for those illusions!
Thanks for your insights, AE. I really appreciate your time looking at this.

Yes, the Chiron return lasted throughout most of 2004. It was a year later when I demanded the boss not keep forcing me to do the work that kept aggrivating my symptoms when there was plenty of other work I could and did do for them, which led to him taking me to a doctor. He, I'm sure was hoping that the mandatory drug test would give him cause to fire me, but that failed. Their doctor wouldn't release me from restrictions so they took me off the job that I could do, claiming they suddenly didn't have work for me, put me on Family medical leave then fired me after the 2 month waiting period was over, and work comp did the same thing. I haven't worked for a year. The comp trial is scheduled for the end of this month, FINALLY. Hard to say what will come of it. There seems to be a lot of vagueness to what is going on with me. The last doctor is calling it ulnar neuropathy. I just can't do repetitive or physically forceful arm/hand work. Problem is I have a short employment history consisting of mostly skilled labor. Most of my life was spent caring for my sons. I guess they don't figure I'm worth retraining for a different type work because I'm a 52 year old woman, or perhaps they just don't want to take any responsibility. They've even refused to let me choose my own doctor. Yes, Chiron does give us the right to demand an environment that is handicapped free for our needs. I don't know, though, what he'd have me do when others choose to just put me out to pasture rather than work with me.
Looking at your 3 Venus return charts telling a story, I wonder if there will be an issue involving long distance communications or travels that leads to either a change of location or vocation.

AE - that work/health stuff (all 6th house - amazing how accurate astrology is) is disturbing. I hope your comp trial goes well, and I hope things are finally moving forward for you with this. That's another thing about Chiron wounds, isn't it - the unfairness that goes along? It's a wound that's not your fault, possibly karmic stuff that you come in with (if you believe in past lives).
I may have a change of location in housing. I have a new job (will be a year in July) that I really feel is a good fit, so unlikely to have a change there. But I have a long commute - 45 miles (about an hour, but can be 90 minutes in heavy traffic) - each way. My housemate is taking a job not far from where I work, so we're considering finding an apartment together nearer to our jobs to save expenses. I'd have to rent out my condo, which I own.
I'm curious, though, where you see the move/travel - what influences in the charts are you looking at?

Here's another question, if any of you have experience of this or have witnessed how this works: What do you think of Venus retrogrades as far as meeting a partner or starting a relationship? Is it a bad idea? I haven't met anyone, but I'm thinking that during this Venus retrograde phase I might want to start dating again. But if anyone I meet is not likely to last, then should I bother?! Is there anything, in fact, that might be especially positive about meeting someone at this time? Or not.
Also, since this entire Venus transit forward and back is moving through my first house - it stations at turnaround on my Ascendant/Moon and stations presently (as it turns around the end of this month) right on my natal Venus/Pluto - it seems like a significant time for relationships. But I'm not involved with anyone. I know it could be re-examining relationship stuff internally, could be also about creativity and values and such, but it hits such strong relationship points on my chart that one would think relationships would be a focus. (It also squares past my Mars at 27 Taurus in my 10th as it transits.)
Any thoughts?

hi 3hn when venus retrogrades, how we relate is up for review. we say relationships begun under it don't last because what we're looking for during the Rx is not our norm. during the period it's likely we'll learn something new about what we do (and perhaps could) look for, and moving into something new certainly can teach us what's there for us to learn during the Rx...
i met a nice lady last week in a coffee shop, and am watching me in a strange way flirt with her as this venus squares my neptune (and as it conjuncts her moon). i don't believe there's room for anything to begin, but i can see how we might offer each other a view on something useful re venus to learn during the Rx.

Thanks, Tom. Guess I'll just have to see how it plays out. Around the time Venus goes direct again, Saturn will be transiting my natal Venus/Pluto. So maybe whatever I learn, I will get serious about it! Watch out for those flirty transits to Neptune. 3HN

Well, they say that when Venus goes retrograde, past lovers return to your life. So I was surprised but not surprised when the guy I was seeing last summer called me out of the blue last night, as transiting Venus went retrograde right on my natal Venus/Pluto at 2 Virgo.
I hadn't thought about him in a long time. It's not a relationship that I have an interest in lasting, but I think it may be interesting in this retrograde phase to revisit it. Not a good time to start a new relationship during Venus retro, but how am I to learn Venus lessons in this period without someone around to bring things up to examine? We had a nice chat and may get together sometime soon casually.
Anyone return to your life during this Venus retro phase??

I've had some 'Venus Return Energy' about me too, 3rdhousenorth. A past relationship from my teen years--boy was that a shock--and one from a few years back. I think it offers a time to resolve any unfinished or unprocessed feelings around these times. The people are perhaps just a trigger for the energy of that time when you were seeing them. I ask, 'Where was I 'at' then?' Interesting! Anyone else? Kim
