;D
well guys I'm actually looking forward to my birthday this year! I've planned a party with my closest girlfriend - also a Taurus sun (born 29.4.71) complete with poetry readings and a 'Persian garden' with braziers and rugs and big cushions and lots of candles and little lights in my back garden.
so here is my solar return chart for this year...
and the quick run-down; (remember I'm still learning how to do this
the chart overall is pretty much a 'splash' pattern' with no particular focal point (except for perhaps that Jupiter in 6 opposite Sun) and an emphasis on Water and Fire.
Taurus rising - my natal 12th house cusp is at 17 Taurus (sun is in 11). This puts my natal 12th house Mercury in the first, as well as natal ASC. (my rising is rising? lol)
sun in 12: was hoping for a more outgoing year - but perhaps this is an opportunity to consolidate my efforts along the lines of my 'soul's purpose'. (I haven't forgotten this is my Nodal Return year)
Kirby and Stubbs say about tau rising in the solar return:
"When Taurus is rising... you will be more concerned with living in the present than with future aims. You will be happy to let yourself simply be who you are and to live by your own values. This enables you to take quite major decisions and carry them through without it seeming such a big thing. Perhaps you have been planning to do something for years but have never had the courage to do it and this year you just do it easily and effortlessly. This is because you are focused on here and now, so that you want life to be happy and satisfying at this moment in time rather than dreaming of a rosy future. It is a year when you feel sufficiently secure and sure of yourself to make your life what you want it to be. This then is going to be a year of concrete action when you do what has to be done , with quiet determination.
There will be an emphasis on the physical as you become more in touch with your body and its needs. You feel more sensual and are likely to be more sexually active than usual and will also enjoy treating yourself to healthy pleasure like massage..."
and about sun in 12:
""during a year with the Sun in the twelfth you feel an increased need for solitude. You feel more inward-looking and contemplative and will want to retreat from the world and dream. It is hard to be specific about your aims as life seems to be full of infinite possibility. You feel confused about your identity and have a vague yearning to be much more that you are but you don't know exactly what, or how to achieve it. This longing may bring a sense of dissatisfaction so that you could find yourself drifting into escapist activities such as drinking, day dreaming and watching endless television. You are inclined to be more passive than usual and find it hard to make decisions. You many even have a feeling o being cut off from the world - alone and estranged. (GOOD GRIEF!!!!)
Its is the end of a cycle and you have reached the conclusion of a particular phase of life. This embodies both joy and sadness as you learn to let go of your old life in order to prepare yourself for the new cycle to come. There is a need to give something up in order to move on and you experience the disintegration of old structures as the seed of the new cycle begins to grow. It is a period of mourning the past and of understanding your memories. You learn a lot about yourself by delving into the unconscious and by listening to what your dream and fantasies have to say.
You feel more sensitive and impressionable than usual and are likely to draw great inspiration from music, poetry or dance. At this time things like meditation and visualization techniques are especially beneficial as you look inwards for answers.
This can also be a time of self-sacrifice and giving to to others and you may b become involved in work that is concerned with caring for people. You feel more sympathetic and altruistic than usual and may be called upon to give something up for the greater good. Institutions seem to figure more prominently in your life, either because you are working or living in one or because you have to spend a lot of time visiting someone who is.
It is a time when the past catches up wit you and you meet the results of your own actions. Light is thrown on unfinished business and you will need to clear up any loose ends. Personal illumination is likely to come through confinement, dreams and listening to the wisdom of your unconscious."
moon in Gemini in 1st: need to communicate who I am through what I feel and think... curiosity, sometimes boredom.. need for plenty of stimulation. Kirby and Stubbs say; "the moon in the first house your feelings will be more visible to others. You are likely to be aware of and show more vulnerability. You may appear inconstant to others as the fluctuations in your feelings are more obvious You may feel very exposed, as if your inner world has become and open book" (sounds like a good reason to stay hiding away, 12th house style!)
second house cusp is Gemini also - with fortuna and mars both in residence - although in the sign Cancer. Would seem to indicate that income will come through short projects (gem) focused around the home (cancer).
third house: cusp Cancer, Saturn in Leo (intercepted) am not sure about this at all - have been trying to find info about interceptions in solar returns - anyone know??
this is not looking like a fabulous year is it??? Somehow I'm not daunted.
IC - Virgo - as in my natal chart... another year of lots of housework lol...
5th house cusp is Libra (also as in my natal chart) my feeling on this is that this year may bring another chance to express my natural abitilies in this area.... arts, raising my children etc, generally beautifying the world... my natal moon is usually found here at 24 Libra, which Mystic Medusa is always joking brings a 'Stepford Wives' energy...
6th house cusp Scorpio - yet again as in my natal chart! Jupiter is in residence... Rx.. at the end of the 'via combusta' . that Water and Fire theme again.... I should think that my health is not in any danger, with Jupiter there, and perhaps can look forward to some blessings in the area of my 'service to others'.... and experience inner growth and the ability to go deeper into my unconscious for 'healing'. Jupiter here seems to reach to other parts of the chart via aspects.. trining second house mars (more income??!!) and squaring neptune (somehow I dont feel in danger of falling into the habit of 'escaping')... and of course - opposite my sun.. which I had hoped would bring a new relationship in... *** have just checked last year's SR chart for Jupiter's position - and it showed a yod (from Sun in 3 and Uranus in 12) with Jupiter at the apex on the eighth house cusp (ten degrees libra, exactly opp natal Venus) and also Rx - well, I certainly learnt some lessons regarding eighth house issues... inner growth indeed. ***
DC/Seventh... also scorpio... is this a form of interception?? scorpio engulfs the entire sixth house, as taurus does the twelfth... ??
eighth house cusp - sagg... there is something about this - pluto is Rx at the GC, in mutual reception with Jupiter in Scorpio and square my natal Jupiter at 26 Virgo. Eighth house is a natural hang-out of pluto, so I don't see this as problematic, especially having gone through pluto's 'baptism of fire' over the past two years.
ninth... capricorn, and again that interception. will come back to this!
MC Pisces as per natal...ha ha - I surrender! Okay OKay - I'm getting the picture, trust in the proces.. stop being so Virgoan about details etc... go with the vision and the flow....Uranus, Venus and the North NOde... sudden and karmic events/developments - a new way of appearing and appealing to/in the world... transformation
11th house Aries... mercury in the degree of my natal Eros!
this will be something to watch!
thanks for your patience, if you're still reading... its quite a labour intensive endeavor to do this - and I haven't even started on aspects! I've definitely run out of steam lol... going back to my book and doing a bit of searching on the net for info about interpreting aspects.
I'm hoping that some comments and intuitions about this chart will result from my posting it...
blessings, primamateria
