Another line of investigation...
there is a strong body of astrological literature which claims that personal planet-node synastry aspects are important. but what about outer planet nodal aspects?
my south node is at 22Sag11 --- my partner's uranus is at 22Sag12, a very tight conjunction. i have interpreted this as quite healthy, since the radically new energy of uranus is probably helpful in breaking out of the pull of the south node and moving towards the north. but could one read this differently?

Here is an interesting short interpretation of Saturn - South node synastry from www.zodiacal.com/articles/geisler/dragon.htm"Saturn to the south node is a practically unbreakable tie in this life. It shows some important lessons will be learned through the relationship and it will bring heavy obligation at some point." Recently I met a woman, my south node is conjunction her Saturn. We have some other synastry aspects too but I find this one very important too. I have a sense my role in her life is to help her in a way. regards Predrag

I have South Node in 8 in Cappy and have a small collection of very longterm friends born in 1960 when Saturn was there I am 15 years older Col and I recognised each other at our first encounter when he came to a house to rent a room Later we lived in each others houses We have gone thro many phases in our friendship which is based on mutual admiration of each others creative work Col and I remember being monks together in another life at somewhere like Iona A 1960 female friend and I last thro all sorts of distance from each other and differing life styles I adore both of them So that long term association thing sounds good to me

Ana, I can (sort of) relate. In my natal chart, Saturn is conjunct the South Node. I have many friends that have personal planets there. However, I don't know if they are drawn by the South Node or by Saturn.

Interesting hearing from all you South Node people.. It seems like Saturn is really like glue in a chart, esp with the Nodes?
My situation is a bit different. My boyfriends Scorpio Moon is near my South Node His North Node conjuncts my Saturn in the 7th.
So......there are ties to my North AND South Nodes with him

doesn´t the south node means past life conections with that person? for instance me and my bf have: - my n node trine his moon -my n node trine his saturn - my n node oposes his neptune - my n node trines his pluto my n node sextiles his juno - my n node squares his AC - his n node sextiles my sun - biquintiles my jupiter squares my ac conjuncts my MC sO, this is a fated conection?

Anyone have an interpretation of North Node conjunct South Node in synastry? Also, looking for interpretations for Nodes conjunct the angles.

in my mind, SN contacts with someone don't necessarily mean there's past life (PL) connection with someone, but there could be. at minimum, the planetary person will stimulate in some way the nodal person's comfort zone. the nature of the relationship itself should be used to gauge PL connections - are they drawn to each other in specific ways? is there a subtext to their interaction? do they seem to know each other?
i used to have a bunch of friends a year younger than me, which left my saturn hitting their SNs. since i've gotten tired of practically embodying saturn, i don't stick with those people anymore - it's boring and predictable. what happens on a hike? i'm teaching them something. a dinner party? i'm teaching.
as for NN conjunct SN in synastry, each person's coming from a place the other hasn't been. each's comfort zone will be foreign to the other. disregarding entire charts, this can be great IF those people choose to learn from one another, IF they're willing to listen to each other and grow - because it could be terrifying to each of them to be confronted with the embodiment of where they're afraid to go. but such a pairing could be a godsend to people stuck in their SNs and wanting to stretch into new territory.

Thanks Tom! These two people sure could use a change. Whether they want to get "unstuck" from their SNs, I don't know. But I think it will be fun to introduce them anyway. They have some other great synastry connections and a great composite chart. It will be interesting to see what happens.

As Mercury transits my S. node now for the 2nd time, its interesting to see how many people are asking me questions that I easily have the answer to.

North node in my chart is 5* 25' Libra and in my father's chart is 5* 19' Aries, so his NN conjuncts my SN. Very close. Also, his Ceres conjuncsts his Mars ant it is just on my Asc. My mother died few years ago and now I live with father - it seems it has some special meaning and I feel it.

Oh wow! I just noticed a cross aspect between my chart and that of "THE ONE" that I love so dearly. Can we go one step further with this line of thinking? What about North Node contra-parallel North Node? Is this considered an opposition? Can this also be translated as North Node conjunct South Node?
I ask this last question because, since the Node is a mathmatical point and not a physical astrological body, I do not know if the South Node is exactly contra-parallel the North Node in the natal chart. It seems logical to me that the natal Nodes would be contra-parallel as well as in opposition, however, my software program does not give a calculation for the South Node. It is an assumption that needs validation. I hate to assume something and be wrong.

any ideas about NN conjunct the IC/SN conjunct the MC? This has come up for me recently with someone I'm dating.

I believe that that aspect (NN contraparallel NN) has some influence too. A conjunction is very strong and in my case, I think it shows something very important that didn't happen yet, a whole meaning of my father's role in my life.

the other night at an astrology lecture i sat next to a guy who turned out to be a psychic astrologer. our nodes are reversed to the degree, something i haven't consciously seen before. i remembered just now that that was the question in this thread.
also some contacts, i believe his saturn directly opposing my saturn - so the nodal degrees in cancer/capricorn in common, and my jupiter at 6 cap opposing his saturn at 6 cancer. definitely something for the two of us to show each other.
we seemed pretty intrigued with each other - i think each could tell the other knew something foreign. this talk was 20 miles away, and we live three blocks from each other.
