Hi there
I have Transiting Uranus Conjuncting Natal Eros-Urania-IC...(meaning also = MC) and I've just realised that it took this transit for my to finally join this astrology forum after reading it for years.
Another manifestation of this transit... My landlord suddenly decided to get the house I've been living in painted. I've been here four years and he's done nothing before this. Also all the stone work is being pressure washed as I write this and the sandstone is looking gorgeous. I'm wondering if he's about to sell the house... well, it is Uranus... and being there's just been a Solar Eclipse... and I am an Aries... hmmmm.
And the biggie... Yes... The Awakening... (or really... Re-awakening) of my erotic self... wow...big time ahead.. I'm already a very passionate person so this could be interesting... especially with Transiting Pluto (12th House) Squaring Natal Venus Conjunct South Node (4th House)...coming up to Conjunct Natal Juno and Ascendant...whew
Cheers

Hi Suz, These are some great practical images that coincide with the Uranus transit. (You really read the forum for years but never joined?) I think the foundations of your life are going to shake! Things long buried are going to revive and talk about “the fresh coat of paint”! This is an image of renewal and rejuvenation. Whether it is a precursor to the house going on the market or not, it is a sign of change. I just had progressed Sun conjunct Uranus and my life has altered dramtically in the last year or so! I don’t think the dust has settled yet! (Oh, that’s about the time this new forum started! Interesting. Many of us have recently experienced Uranian transits. Comments? Kim

Yes this thread is also very relevant to me too – I think I said somewhere else on the forum that I started looking into astrology on the internet when uranus exactly conjunct my 5th house Chiron and opposed my pluto and this was definitely an awakening as I didn’t know anything about Chiron until then – and got megally passionate about finding out about it. Chiron also plays a big part in the astrology of my relationship and I absolutely felt the sort of expectant buzz of energy building up before the eclipse on my 7th house venus. I think the combination of the Uranus transit and eclipsed sun were a massive force for me as on the day of the eclipse I felt my self open up inside in a kind of realization of the how everything is interconnected and my partner got the full effects of this as he had to participate in my passionate relating of all I felt I had discovered! It felt a bit like when we first met but better as we can see each other properly now. I am waiting for surprises and more awakenings as Uranus will be transiting my Chiron/mars/mercury stellum for a while yet....
Interesting you too have the Pluto square Venus going on too suz – seems a lot of people on the forum are looking at that too. mar

Yes Kim, I really have read the forum for years. I remember a couple of times where all those great posts disappeared. You do know that they are probably floating around cyberspace somewhere and that there must be some fabulous computer tech who could possibly find them for you. They'd have to be in your computer hard drive surely.
Anyway, as we know, it can be good to start afresh.
Yes, the paint job on the house... it's the outside of the house, which is interesting. I painted the inside when I had Transiting Uranus Conjunct Chiron-Mars. Mars is the ruler of my 5th House... (Chiron 1Pisces30 - Mars 1Pisces43). They are the most beautiful lime wash colours... everyone who sees it thinks it's beautiful. (The owner does not know about the painting and neither does my Real Estate agent...ooh ahh... how very Uranian of me.) This also started my huge creativity burst of painting canvases. Talk about 'colour therapy.'
I also have Solar Arc Jupiter (17 Aquarius) = Natal Uranus (17 Leo) right now too... so Transiting Neptune is there too. And Solar Arc Uranus moved into Libra last year... so that's nearly 30 more years of that sign to go... Interesting hey?
I want to know more about what you are doing... at Uni... in life ... etc
Cheers Suz

In “Astrology, Karma, & Transformation” by Stephen Arroyo he talks about Uranus as the higher function of mercury, when speaking about ancient astrology he says: “…many of the alchemists were aware of a creative function deeper (or higher) than the level of the rational mind, which is the primary meaning of Mercury in modern astrology. These alchemists associated this creative activity with the occult meaning of Mercury as the unifier of opposites. From our modern perspective, we might well wonder if they were referring to the function of Uranus but had no such planetary symbol to express what they experienced.”<br> I really like the idea of this higher creative non rational mind for Uranus as I think that to benefit from Uranus you do have to trust in the “non-rational” which can sometimes be very difficult. I remember once talking to a friend about this and saying I thought intuition was more trustworthy that rational explanations as it seems rationally you can give “reasoned argument” to prove black is white and vice versa – he felt intuition much more susceptible to being wrong. I realized then that I tend to use mercury reason to find the evidence to back up my intuition which can obviously be dangerous. Does Uranus transit work like a sort of energizing brainstorming sessions – with then perhaps some other factor coming in like Saturn to test it out later? Is this why Aquarius has both these two as rulers? Just mulling things over really Mar

Interesting you should say that mar...
I have Saturn 17Capricorn59 (1st House Conjunct 2nd House Cusp) Sextile Mercury 17Pisces13 (4th House Conjunct IC) and both are Quincuncx Uranus 17Leo06 (9th House )... therefore Uranus is the focal point of a Yod ... not that everybody is into Yods these days... it really means in Midpoint theory... Uranus = Mercury/Saturn ...the point Opposite Uranus is Ceres 14Aquarius34...(3rd House Conjunct 4th House Cusp).
All these words could apply to my thought processes... deep, philosophical, excitable, quick, wired, anxious, unusual, eccentric, logical, creative, intuitive, over stimulated. Lately I've been thinking so much my head hurts... (Aries... Mercury Spiritual Ruler). Way too much Uranus happening to me... I mean ... like I need extra? I don't think so. And Transiting Neptune... (and Mars) have both been on that point (17Aquarius)... maybe that's also why I've been feeling a bit strange lately. Hmmm
I really am very into being Ceres in Aquarius.... "Nurturing is expressed through teaching others to acccept their eccentricites and themselves, even if they 'follow the beat of a different drummer". That is so me... I feel that way about me so obviously I can teach others to be this way. "Self acceptance can be gained through following one's own original and unique path." (Quotes from Demetra George... Asteroid Goddesses)
One more thing I've just realised in my Natal chart... Regulus = Uranus/MC... I like that.
And mar... yes Pluto to Venus... what can I say? Scary and exciting at the same time... I tell ya I've got so many ideas in my head it's bursting... and like I said... "It hurts!"
cheers

Hi
I noticed this quote at the weekend from George Bernard Shaw who had moon conjunct uranus - and thought it a great thought on uranus
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
From an often unreasonable (Moon square uranus and jupiter) mar

I've read this snippet from GBS and actually used it in one of my columns. Me with the Aquarius Moon relates! Thank you. Kim
