Though I never knew much about him before I saw Walk the Line, I had known about Johnny Cash's bond with June for several years, and because their relationship rivals that of celebrity couples like Paul N. and Joanne W., I thought it might be interesting to see why this couple shared this sensitive, long-lasting, volatile love.
Note: Though I am aware of what the Magi Society has suggested about these two, I am not a follower of their belief system. I am interested in ALL facets of their synastry together, giving equal importance to multiple points (including Chiron).
His b info: Feb 26, 1932 7:30 AM Kingsland, ARK
Her b info: June 23, 1929 Maces Springs, VA
Some less obvious features I noted myself include:
1. They both natally have Mars-Eros conjunctions.
2. Their Persona Chart Venus's are both in Gemini and P.C. Mars' are both in Virgo- not only creating shared understanding but also creating a mutual Venus-Mars square for passion.
3. In June's chart, the asteroid "Johnny" completes a Grand Square with her Uranus (opp), Moon and Pluto. Heavy. It also trines her Mercury to provide release when things become too intense now and then. It also contraparallels her Jupiter.
4. In Johnny's chart, June's real name, Valerie, or "Valeria" conjuncts his Ascendant and Vesta, trines his Pluto and sextiles his Chiron. To the degree, it also parallels his n. node AND anti-vertex.
5. His Saturn trines and contraparallels her Jupiter- also contraparallels her Pluto and Vesta. There's the Saturn-Vesta link from an earlier thread. ;D
6. Her Saturn squares his nodes and vertex. It also contraparallels his Pluto and parallels his Ceres.
7. Astrologer Gwynne Deva has suggested that synastry should include planets in each other's houses using houses 1,4,7,10,12. Four planets = average with six being really great. She includes the nodes. Whether she is right or not, June had 5 of her planets in his "major" houses. Without her birth time, the other side can't be seen. Though house 7 does not seem to make any stunning contacts to her chart, even through rulership, declination shows another picture. June's Uranus and anti-vertex parallel his DC.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks!
