Hi all,
Whilst looking for info on Chiron's transiting influence through the houses, I came across this article:
www.jessicaadams.com/astrology.asp?id=1176
It describes an aspect of Chiron I have never, ever heard mentioned -- that it is the energy of the maverick and shows where someone will attempt to do something unprecendented or daring.
At first I thought... "Wha..." But having looked through my chart and various Chiron transit periods, it seems to me that there's definitely something to this!
Has anybody read of or considered this aspect of Chiron before? How did I miss it, I wonder? I get sick of hearing the 'Wounded Healer" blah-blah talk about it, such an over-used psycho-babble catch-phrase I think. And I find Magi Astrology's take on Chiron intriguing, but never had a personal "a-ha" association with that.
But I really see a pattern in Chiron's transit through my houses, how it so accurately describes various allegedly impossible things I took on over the years, and achieved.
I'm wondering what others here can identify in their own journeys as challenges they had the chutzpah to take on and achieve, as described by Chiron's transit through the houses?
Any stories to tell? Does this ring true for others as well?
For example, while Chiron transited my 2nd house (in Scorpio) I went through some very intense power struggles involving everything that gave me material security, and experienced truly abject poverty, the kind that forces you to draw blood from a stone every day. I came out of it well and good, tho -- kind of cleanses & purged, I guess, and not bitter or weakened.
While Chiron transited my 3rd house, I decided to enter the corporate world despite the fact that I don't have a degree and had no prior corporate experience -- and I resolved to enter the culture at a high level, income-wise. I definitely had strong nay-sayers, because it really is unlikely that someone could do that. But nevertheless, in one month I taught myself everything I needed to know to get by in a certain scientific & technical field, managed to persuade the market that I had valuable skill, and got exactly the position & money that I wanted. While Chiron made its transit through my 3rd, I continued to exploit every opportunity to learn in that area and became very successful in my little niche.
After that, despite some credit challenges from several years before, I resolved to move into a beautiful spacious home for my family, and had plenty of nay-saying on that. Still, I did it once, and then did it again.
When I look at Chiron's natal placement, it's in Pisces in my 6th house, and I've overcome numerous ailments using a primarily metaphysical approach, with systemic Lyme being the most dramatic achievement. That was a work that took a few years to achieve, and I was very protective of it at the time because certainly there's not a lot of mainstream or familial support normally available for something like that -- it's viewed as ridiculously impossible, generally. But the nay-saying almost rooted me more strongly in my focus, and I was eventually successful in eradicating it from my body.
Each one of these achievements was very powerful when it manifested -- big tears-of-joy types of events.
And now, Chiron is about to enter my 5th house and I've coincidentally stated several times in the past few weeks that I'm absolutely resolved to achieve something unprecedented with my ballroom dancing -- to take it to a very high level that's extremely unusual for someone who started dancing so late in life. I hear nay-saying all the time from people in my circle, believe me. But I let it go in one ear & out the other and keep forging ahead with my plan and my vision. Having achieved these other allegedly impossible things gives me the confidence to stay true to my purpose.
I think with this new view of Chiron, I've fallen in love with the asteroid as much as I love Eros!!!!
LOL
I'm dying to hear of everyone else's experiences that might continue to unveil this side of Chiron!

So... I am just so impressed by this aspect of Chiron.
