Hola Jesus, Yes, there is an asteroid named Cupido. It is the Latin spelling for Cupid. There is also an asteroid “Amor”, also related to love and relationships. If you go to my article on Compatibility, www.nrg.com.au/~d-falcon/Eros_by_Transit_or_Progression.htm you will find a chart that gives a brief description of asteroids I feel are important in relationship. I do place much more emphasis on Eros, though, and Psyche. There are strong links to Cupido and Eros, although Cupid was not, in Roman mythology, one of the 4 original deities. He did not “cause all things to mingle” in the sense of creating the world and being the force of the powers of attraction. Eros was one of these original gods, some say the oldest. He is not a small deity. Cupido is a lesser god, linked to the image of a winged cherub like figure that is often depicted blind folded, to show how love is blind. Oddly, the asteroid Cupido seems to link to visual things,”Vanity; concern about appearances (inc. the idea of “keeping up appearances” and doing things “for the sake of appearances;”) art and beauty interests; relationship concerns; attraction; the face or complexion; the “look” of something.” (from the Introduction to the Asteroids: Treehouse Mountain Astrology: www.treehousemountain.com/KeyWords.htm If we stick to the idea of asteroid Cupido linking to “the look of something”, having that awakened by Moon contact could be quite soft and lovely. The Moon touches us unconsciously. It can make us feel more. You can “see” how she feels. How it feels to have her Moon touched by Cupido will depend on how comfortable she is with her feelings. If it is a difficult moon or a particularly disruptive time, she may not want the added “reminder” highlighting her feeling world. If she is content with her emotions and vulnerability, it will feel like she is “seen” and understood. That is usually a wonderful thing! It all depends on the condition of the Moon and planets that aspect both Moon, and your Cupido. Does this make sense? Think of Cupido as a minor energy, that activates the look of love, the feel of love, what we see as attractive, how we respond to attraction. Whatever it contacts in your own chart will add to this. Mars heats it up, Jupiter makes it exuberant, Saturn could limit or restrict. If you have major planet contacts to her Moon, they will have a predominated effect, at least initially. How do you feel the Cupido/Moon contact works? Thanks for your question. Warmly, Kim

Would the Cupido person be lovingly gazing over at the asc person thinking how attractive they are? Or would the ascendant person be gazing over at cupido on the desc thinking what an attractive partner they'd make? Or would the fact that it's on that asc/desc axis make it go both ways at any rate (projection or not) I think relating without projection is a rarity. If it happened, the Cupido person would find that being around the Descendant person made them feel more attractive. The Descendant person would find their interest in romance increases. Again, think of people as permanent transits. The Descendant person has a wink from Cupido activating their romantic longings and 7th house issues (what ever they are). The Cupido person gets an activation to the part of them that says, “go ahead! You are a stunning being…find some love.”<br> In reality, what is waking up and what is doing the waking isn’t all that different—and projection WOULD be involved as well. It’s the Descendant after all. The energy of the Asc/Dsc axis is a two way path. You can’t separate one from the other, or from what touches it! Kim

My Cupido (at 5 Cancer) squares my Eros at 5 Libra - and squares my Mercury at 5 Aries How should I interpret this? Thanks Hi Trish, Welcome to the forum. Please take a moment to join up and read the introduction. As far as your Cupido, Eros, Mercury aspect, that describes a perfect T-Square. It means you can’t “do” one of the planets without activating the others. Howard Sasportas used to say, “Aspects are like table legs. You pick one up, all the rest come up with it!”<br> For example, you are going along, minding your own business and someone starts talking about something really interesting-really challenging. Your Mercury is activated and you have a lot to say. You get right to the point. Maybe it turns into a very animated discussion. Then, you realize you are getting very passionate about your ideas (Eros in Libra square your Mercury) you want to stay focused and on track but Eros is starting to make your heart race, your face flush. The person you are talking to may seem very tantalizing all of a sudden. You lose some of your direct Aries Mercury motion as Eros starts to see the situation completely differently. Then, Cupido pops up. Whoever you are talking to, or perhaps what you are talking about, starts to feel very alluring. You like the look of them, and it distracts even further your focused Mercurial intension. The topic may seem to change and you don’t feel you are on solid ground anymore. The Cancer principle kicks in an you want to retreat so you can understand what is going on! This is just one example out of infinite possibilities. Can you come up with one yourself that combines these three energies in a personal experience? Someone with planets in Capricorn in particular (the “missing corner of you T-Square) or transits in that sign (like the Sun in 4 more days!) can get this aspect going. Let us know what you experience. Thanks for your participation. Warmly, Kim

Hi ScorpyMoon, Thank you for that feedback! You are right, the lesser gods can have very potent intentions and effects…in this case it is lovely to behold! Kim
