Great question! With so many asteroids out there, which ones are useful when considering the synastry chart? Which ones are the Asteroids of Love, Attraction and sexual desire?
When working with chart comparisons, I like to include the following asteroids. I also have a look at the NAME asteroids. If Shannon is with Christa, I am going to see what those two asteroids add to the equation.
This is not a complete list. There are other's that may be equally or more meaningful to add. It depends on the nature of the relationship. There are no limits! This is a good starting point though!
Asteroids- Discovery-Orbit Significance and Meaning
1 Ceres Jan. 01, 1801 4.6 years Mother, nurturing, feeding emotional and physical needs. Taking care of each other.
3 Juno Sep 01, 1804 4.36 years Committed and bonded relationships, marriage, legal ties and protection of rights within the relationship.
4 Vesta Mar 29, 1807 3.63 years Devotion and dedication to beliefs, tantric sex and passion for ritual. Sex as spiritual transformation.
16 Psyche Mar 17, 1852 5.00 years Perseverance of love, connection of a psychic nature, awakening of intuition, soul seeking completion.
80 Sappho May 02, 1864 3.48 years Sexual attraction, deep appreciation of self and others, poetic, artistic, refined and cultured. Very passionate.
433 Eros Aug 13, 1898 1.76 years Erotic love, sexual or creative revelation that brings two people together to form a lasting transformation.
763 Cupido Sep 25, 1913 3.35 years The look of love, aware of image, being tantalized by the reflection, seeing is exciting or foreboding.
1221 Amor Mar 12, 1932 2.66 years Love as felt idealistically, romanticize in pure and unconditional thought, not necessarily sexual
1388 Aphrodite Sep 24, 1935 5.24 years Impulsive love and attraction, love inspired by fated events, animosity turning to magnetism, charisma.
1943 Anteros Mar 13, 1973 1.71 years The brother of Eros, love returned, or love avenged. The answer to love’s longing, a place to finally meet.
2102 Adonis Feb 12, 1936 2.57 years Spell bound love, sexual magnetism, the desired to arouse, please and fulfill the beloved. Potent tie.
4450 Pan May 9, 1988 3.00 years Seductive and earthy sensuality, creative, wily, and likely to instill “panic” to produce change or contact.
Have a play with these and see what you discover! Warmly, Kim

Kim, that was interesing to read! Thank you a lot! I am going to post your message to another astro Forum for people who may be interested of asteroides too. Some people also use Apolon, Lova, Lust, Asmodeus. What do you say about them?
well, what do I see in our synastry. Me and my sweetie have quite a lot of those asteroid connections, its been 3 years already and the spark is still burning so strong...
following the asteroids you listed:
his Juno/Vertex squares my Moon (0 degree orb) my Vesta conjuncts his Sun (0 degree) in his 8th house his Psyche conjuncts my Mars (0 degree) his Cupido conjuncts my Mars (1 degree) my Cupido opposits his Venus (1 degree) his Sappho conjuncts my Venus (1 degree) - in my 8th house my Sappho conjuncts his DC /opposite ASC (1 degree) my Eros squares his Sun/Pluto/Eros (0 degree) his Amor squares my Venus (0 degree) my Aphrodite squares his ASC his Pan conjuncts my DC (1 degree) and my Sun
ouch, the sky above our relationship is literaly clustered with asteroides. And I am not even bothering to mention the trine and sextille aspects, I only looked for hard aspects (conjunction, square, opposit) and in a close 0 to 1 degree orb. What do you think, Kim? Are the trines and sextilles of importance? Is the square aspect negative and hard to deal with or it just triggers action and responce? Thank you again for your time and consideration

Hello Grenadine,
Yes, the asteroids can offer fascinating, subtle insights to a chart comparison. The trick is often in knowing which ones to look at. What matters to the couple? Is it creative expression? Work? Money? Sex? Meditation? Travel? Higher learning? Escape? Parental patterns revisited? If you know what the general attraction or goal is, you get a hint about what asteroids to include.
Which number is Apolon? Did you mean 1862Apollo? I would look at Apollo if the relationship was creative and intellectually oriented. 4386 Lust speaks for itself! It’s a hungry, driven image. I haven’t used 868 Lova to a great extent but am interested in how it may fit in.
Asmodeus is another story, a long story. Asmodeus is great daemon (referred to as a demon now) Consider the definitions!
The words daemon and daimon are distinctive, older spellings of demon. This spelling is used purposely today to distinguish the daemons of Greek mythology, "supernatural beings between mortals and gods, such as inferior divinities and ghosts of dead heroes", from the Judeo-Christian usage demon, "a malignant spirit that can possess humans".
Daemons ("replete with knowledge", "divine power", "fate" or "god") were not necessarily evil. The Greeks divided daemons into good and evil categories: eudaemons and cacodaemons, respectively.
Eudaemons somewhat resembled the modern idea of the guardian angel. They watched over ordinary mortals to help keep them out of trouble.
Now, with that in mind, Asmodeus, Daemon true, also had a bit of demon under the skin!
Here is a record of ancestary—
“God then formed Lilith, the first woman, just as He had formed Adam, except that He used filth and sediment instead of pure dust. From Adam's union with this demoness, and with another like her named Naamah, Tubal Cain's sister, sprang Asmodeus and innumerable demons that still plague mankind. Many generations later, Lilith and Naamah came to Solomon's judgement seat, disguised as harlots of Jerusalem'. 4”
Asmodeus speaks to Solomon: "My constellation (is like an animal which) reclines in its den in heaven; some men call me the Great Bear, but others the Offspring of a Dragon. Moreover, a smaller constellation accompanies my constellation, for the high position and throne of my father is always in the sky. So do not ask me so many things, Solomon, for eventually your kingdom will be divided. This glory of yours is temporary. You have us to torture for a little while; then we shall disperse among human beings again with the result that we shall be worshiped as gods because men do not know the names of the angels who rule over us." -TSol 5:4-5
Apparently, Asmodeus “meddled” in the affairs of newly weds. Interesting. I am not sure what the agenda is, though I think it involves a much darker path than hearts and flowers. This isn’t the first asteroid I would look for in new lovers; it is the first I would consult in love gone wrong!
Conjunction? YES. Oppositions? Yes too. Squares, sometimes, as well as inconjuncts (30 and 150 degrees) quintiles, trines and sextiels. Actually, I am very flexible with the actual aspects though 90 percent of the time I only count conjunctions and oppositions. Always tight orbs (though I have seen wider ones work). This seems “wishy washy” though I can’t make it any more definitive. It’s an intuition thing. There are no hard and fast rules (for me).
Thanks for your question. Warm wishes, Kim

Kim,
I am learning a great deal about the depth and metaphors available in astrology and need to know how to view a Vesta (His) Conjunct Eros (mine) aspect in a synergy chart. His Vesta is in my 4th house, my Eros is in his 8th house.
It is a lively, friendly chart, and is not my husband.
(I am having trouble with using Paypal to order a full report.)
Thanks for your help. Get your book on amazon. com!

Hello Cate,
Welcome to the forum.
Vesta/Eros is a very interesting synastry combination. Here is an excerpt from my Eros book on the topic
“Eros in Synastry Aspect to Vesta
…Tis a consummation Devoutly to be wished. --William Shakespeare
When Eros and Vesta meet in synastry, the fires of the hearth may burn with an ardent passion. Both Eros and Vesta may be stimulated to create, sustain and consummate tremendous passion, be it for a work of art, a group project or a sensual encounter. They just may feel ignited for different reasons.
Eros wants to express passion intimately and personally, yet Vesta has more a sense of “Agape” in her desires. She is looking for merging that leads to divine fulfillment, the honoring of the spirit. Eros wants a merging that will transform the individuals involved, bringing them to a new state of being. Both can feel strongly motivated towards passion and union, but often for these different reasons.
In Synastry, one person may feel stimulated towards passionate intimacy and the other have conflicts about the sanctity of the adventure. Vesta may have problems with moral issues if it seems the divine is not being honored...
Vesta is known as a symbol of introspection and the ability to focus. When it combines with Eros by synastry, the focus may be on the erotic, although if that is too overwhelming or too consequential, the relationship may never get off the ground… yet if it does, the expression becomes sacred.”
How do you feel this combination is working?
Re PayPal, that should be straightforward if you join up and sign in. If the steps are unclear, or if there it isn’t working, please let me know. (One woman from Dubai had trouble too, though all other orders have worked fine).
Thank you for your interest and input.
Warmly, Kim

it certainly works for me, Kim - the Vesta/Eros connection in synastry. My Vesta- to his Eros/Sun/Pluto exact conj, it`s a tight 0'06 degree of conjunction (in his 8th house). One word - devouring passion

Wow, that's very potent--the feeling of Asmodeus with Chiron in your synastry.
Jewish folklore has Asmodeus more like a trickster-fun and full of pranks--than a demon. Originally, he is Aesma Daeva, an ancient Persian demon--not so fun loving!
