[\quote] Oppositions will involve another person and a power struggle which requires some negotiation, a meeting in the middle, balance, learning to fight fairly, learning to stand up for yourself. Those are very good things to learn in life and will serve you well.
If you want to know an interpretation for natal Mars opp the GC, I'd have to have your birth info. You can PM me if you want it or post it here.

Hi AquariusMoon
I enjoyed reading your post and your experiences with the Pluto transits. As for the power struggle with another person - phew! - mine lasted from July 1991 until July 2003 and the situation threatens a recurrence, I am not sure, but I can never relax. The Moon/Mars conjunction in Gemini H6 involves sibling trouble (can be the worst) and my home, opposition Jupiter in Sagittarius giving legal battles. I would be so grateful for insight from my chart info, especially how the GC comes into it. My details are: 13 September 1960, 4.15pm, at 51N32'42" and 0W10'57" (exact location in London UK as found on Google Earth)

An old thread but wanted to wake it up, Galactic Centre has appeared twice in charts in the last few weeks. I'm still reading through material and have Kim's links on this thread to follow up (hope they're still there!)
I did a hororary chart yesterday and the Ascendant came out as 26.52 Sagittarius - I think GC is at 26.51 this year?? And of course Pluto Rx is closely conjunct it in the first. The question was about whether I should write someone a love letter - something I've hesitated doing although my heart is shouting at me to do it. The chart is valid to read. I'm not posting this chart up in the hororary thread at present - it's the Galactic Centre connection on the AC which intrigued me. The Sabian symbol is fascinating for this degree, about a sculptor's work taking shape - that's a slow process, requiring patience, skill, and vision to imagine a finished form inside a solid block of marble or uncast bronze. The ability to create from something formless. There is no relationship at present, there may never be, but I can still visualise a possible form for it, I can see the shape it could be. And it seems to be down to me to craft it.
In my natal chart, Galactic Centre is on my 8th house cusp. So, therefore, is the Ascendant to this hororary chart!
And the GC has turned up too in my Draconic Chart - asteroids Actor and Persephone (conjunct natally at 5 Taurus) both come out as 26 Sagittarius in my Draconic Chart. I've been posting on the Persephone thread about the conjunction with Actor, as it seems to unlock the self confidence/maturity Persephone needs. Exploring that connection through acting seems an amazing opportunity - almost limitless.
What of the Galactic Centre? It seems to be a point of infinite creativity - of fierce energy, of mystery, of endless possibilities, of the birth of stars. I'm still exploring, but so far can find very little written about it in connection with points in charts or with house cusps so I'm going to meditate on this and see what comes to me. It clearly wanted to introduce itself to me this week!

It clearly wanted to introduce itself to me this week! Write the letter. You don't have to send it. But you need to write it and maybe rewrite it again and again, if need be. Then you can decide about what to do with it. I wish I had more time to get into this. However, consider that the GC is the sun of our sun, has the power to suck down 400 of our suns at a time, and occupies several degrees of space on our star map. Yes, it is a long way away, but still... You have to send that energy somewhere, else Pluto the transformer will become Pluto the destroyer. Though never fear! The phoenix will rise from the ashes! So write the letter. It may very well be the most powerful thing you have ever written. If you decide to send it I would strongly recommend that you consider having a close friend look at it and also think about editing it heavily if it risks overpowering your intended. Also, consider Persephone as "willing victim" might not want to keep playing the part (Actor) that you are setting yourself up for. Leave yourself an opening for expression of the many sides of your personality as well. If you write something down it may very well become TRUTH forever and ever and ever. Make sure you can live with what you write 20 years from now, because you are playing with that much power. That said, I think Pluto is demanding that you take a risk, change and grow. So do what you must. It all happens for a reason and, despite pain or joy, you will be a better person in the aftermath, come what may. Go forth my friend! Love and light to you, Aphrodite

My coz has Venus at this position and 2 years ago applied to contact her relinquished 43 yr old son She is in UK and they take ages to process it That meeting took place about a month ago She had buried her feelings for years and not had more children and suddenly the walls came down I do not know how it went yet as the annoying woman has not emailed me waiting with bated breath for the details He sounded kind and gentle from the premeeting info that came I felt it as she lived with us when she was pregnant and no one was allowed to mention it and never dared until recently It WAS England.......... I am sharing a house with a man with his ASC here and he has been spending most of his time in bed for the last 4 years with"Depression" He was friend of a friend He does not seem depressed to me just in neutral gear but that may be the meds and being a Scorpio he is not forthcoming about the details of his experience And he can be funny ha ha too Not being into astrology he may have reacted badly whereas we might go with the flow of what ever transpires on the inner or the outer a bit more easily having a better idea of what is going on Least I b well hope so

Aphrodite .. thank you so much for your posting. I got shivery reading it, I'm very touched. I hadn't put it into words in my post but the power of what I want to write has been overwhelming me, never mind the intended recipient .. the connection to Galactic Centre and Pluto is clearly the reason. Thank you particularly for advising me to share what I write with someone I trust, and to make sure I can live with what I write in 20 years' time - I'm impulsive and not that good at looking beyond the end of the week (Ariesmoon .!) so you really have hit the spot there.
I've never done anything of this magnitude before, but then I've never loved anyone like this before. So whatever I do matters. A lot.
Blessings - and thank you again

I've already posted on this, and debated putting up another thread about Anteros, but I think it's well worth putting this into the thread on Galactic Centre - the connections are striking.
I have an Anteros/Bacchus conjunction - exact - at 26.56 Gemini. So, bang opposite Galactic Centre (and bang on the Desc of my hororary chart). And now they're being double hit by Pluto Rx in opposition. I'd written before that I couldn't imagine how Anteros and Bacchus would get along together. Truth is, I didn't want to. But I'm getting it now, it's almost like it's being channelled, so I can't ignore it any more, and have to write about it. It's Pluto going back over that point, to bring out the learning.
In Gemini, Anteros seems truly to represent the desperate searching for the twin, for the soul mate, for love to be returned. He's the spirit of mutual love, and revenge if love is spurned. In Kim's words "the answer to love's longing". Bacchus, not only the God of wine, and of expressing unconstrained joy, but also the God of Theatre, as the first plays in Greece were performed in his honour (and it's opposite the draconic Asteroid Actor).
What does an actor, a performer, need? An audience. Any performance - whether of a scripted play, or of a different and unfamiliar side of our character, is an expression of love to others, it's a gift. What happens if the audience boos or, worse, sits there in stony silence? Going back to the letter I want to write, how would I deal with expressing love, and either being rejected, or being met with silence? That seems to be the essense of Anteros, for me anyway - he's inextricably tied in with the wild side (Bacchus) and the need to express joy. But he's also counselling me that I have to express it unconditionally, and let go of any expectation of having it returned. If it is, it's a bonus, if not, then I've put that love out into the world anyway.
The Sabian symbol for 26-27 Gemini is "A Gypsy Emerging from the Forest Wherein Her Tribe is Encamped". What came to me again almost instantly, as if it were being channelled, is this. The Gypsy represents a wild spirit, with a lifestyle many of us fear, probably because we would love to do it - to cast off our rooted possessions and travel where the mood and the wind takes us. But we don't. We may travel a lot, to try to find that lifestyle, but most of us come back to our bricks and mortar. We fear Gypsies because they are different to us. They seem to have no roots, but their roots are established in a different way, and go much deeper, through a tenacious connection to family, and by having a tradition of passing on stories through generations. Because of this, they have a connection to the Earth and a true appreciation of their roots in a way that many of us have lost despite our living in bricks and mortar. (This is real 4th house stuff - what are you, at your roots?)
Forests have always provided sanctuary, a place of safety, a place to hide, as well as food and shelter. If you belong to a tribe that people fear and distrust, the instinct is to hide. So emerging from that - from a place you feel safe - is an act of bravery. It's saying yes I'm a wild spirit, yes you fear me, but no, I'm not going to keep hiding from the world. And the fact that it's specifically a woman is hugely relevant - this is the wild feminine emerging from where she's been hidden.
This is all part of a journey for me - the journey to discover the wild feminine, and to let her emerge. She's obviously ready to come out of the forest. I was born in a part of London called Gypsy Hill. And Gypsy culture was part of my professional working life for several years.
I have the Sun at 4 Cancer - the antiscia of which is 26 Gemini. So the core of how I express myself - my Sun - is reflected back in that point.
