;D Well happy people, wake up! This place is becoming a Halloween grave yard. Here is something worth chomping on.
Jupiter will finally be leaving Scorpio next month and entering its home sign Sagittarius! This will be the first time in over a decade (1995-96). Last time this happened I had my lovely daughter early and dead on in time for a big end of the year tax savings... ;D
From the net:
Jove is another name for Jupiter -- a jovial person is a person who has a hearty, joyous humor. People with Jupiter strong in their chart (a lot of aspects to Jupiter or a lot of planets in Sagittarius or the ninth house) are optimistic, jovial, growth-oriented, open, and reasonable. When they have expanded egos, Jupiterians can also be overly optimistic, greedy, snobbish, and condescending. Jupiter people want to expand their knowledge, grow as people, be humorous, and remain open to new experience. They often spend time planning the future and trying to extrapolate where things are going. The two words that Jupiterians use are: "more" and "better".
On a broader social context, Jupiter rules the ups and downs of the economy. When Jupiter is well aspected or in a friendly sign, the economy gets a boost. For example, in a surprising number of cases, Jupiter in Virgo represents a time of economic difficulties, while Jupiter in Libra starts on the road to an improving economy, and Jupiter in Scorpio initiated the actual transition to the new economic state.
Jupiter represents the temper of the time--what prospers. Since what is prospering, growing, and expanding is where the "juice" resides, Jupiter represents the upbeat energy of that time. People are open to the sign that Jupiter is traversing.
Jupiter is the energy to improve the situation. What is improved is represented by the sign that Jupiter is transiting. Since Jupiter changes sign once a year, what people work to improve in a given year is represented by Jupiter.
When Jupiter left Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius the world became a lighter and more humorous place. People look into foreign and extraterrestial affairs more. Jupiter will be in Sagittarius commencing Nov 23.

Jupiter Moves Home into Sagittarius
Jupiter returns home to Sagittarius on November 23, 2006. Yep, that's right, Jupiter's going to be in THE house again. Students of astrology have developed an understanding that Jupiter expands everything it touches. Plus it is associated with faith, hope and optimism. As a general rule, Jupiter's visit to Sagittarius helps us to feel more opportunistic. This transit lasts for approximately 13 months and the transit through Sagittarius only occurs once every 12 years.
Jupiter's transit through its ruling sign encourages us to gain a better understanding of our beliefs and education. Culture, philosophy and travel are knotted together as we gain a deeper comprehension of others who are different from ourselves. The mission of Jupiter in Sagittarius is to help us open up our minds, especially in the matters of foreign liaisons, cultures, legal issues, global values, religion and principles. Different individuals experience these notions through a variety of sources; reading, college, traveling, studying and even in church. It is human nature to live life within categories of "us" and "them." Jupiter has been traveling through the various "them" signs for a couple of years now. There was the trip through Libra to help us learn more about partnership, equal status and healthier relationship. We're just finishing up with Jupiter's visit in Scorpio that taught us about sharing our belongings with others and using better judgment with our choices when interacting with others. Now, in Sagittarius, Jupiter's role is to help us learn about our own greater good through higher levels of experiencing other beliefs and values. Believe it or not, Jupiter is just as good at teaching us through our mistakes as Saturn is. Only with Jupiter, we think we're having a whole lot more fun in the process. And when we screw up, Jupiter has a way of intensifying the punishment too.
As we cultivate our awareness; emotionally, psychologically and intellectually, we are expected to learn the significance of our experiences. Some of us pick up the clues. Some of us don't. To comprehend the experiences of life in a way that allows us to discern our own significance without judging others. The individuals who do see the bigger picture will really stand out to us now. We'll either "click-in" at a global level, or we'll be standing on the outside hoping to get season tickets to the big cosmic picture show. In other words, if we're in, that's cool. If we're not in, there's still a chance if we don’t give up.
For a lot of us, Jupiter can seem like that favorite rich uncle who shows up from time to time in his fancy new sports car with loads of friends and money. It looks SO easy from the perspective of Jupiter. Yet Jupiter in Sagittarius is not all peaches and cream. We can become too optimistic or too trusting of others. We can even place too much faith in our own abilities or competency. We may start to put too much faith in what we know. . . only to discover that we jumped in over our heads. Jupiter loves to trick us that way. As humans, we want to have faith in the "right stuff." We hate to be wrong. So we put our faith into events and situations in hopes that we are doing it right. Or we puff up ourselves with big ideas and big expectations. When others discover that we are more "puff than stuff," we are likely to point our fingers to justify our own positions and cast denigrations on to others. That's the ugly side of Jupiter. We may never even really see ourselves acting that way because we might be too busy puffing and preening.
The real key to any Jupiter transit is using Saturn's lessons. Yep, these two planets really do play off each other for the greater good. Jupiter the Exorbitant and Saturn the Taskmaster are like a tag team. These two planets understand the significance of playing and working or working and playing equally. We need both influences in our lives to comprehend our purpose. We have all seen the effects of too much Jupiter or too much Saturn. Excess Jupiter shows up in the perpetual drifters or hedonists who never find a sense of satisfaction. Then we have seen Saturn's excess in the workaholics or disciplinarians whose expectations are too severe and potentially destructive.
So, there we have it. The potentials for us while Jupiter transits Sagittarius are truly beyond our wildest dreams. Yet, in order to get the most bang for our buck, we need to open our minds, choose our options wisely AND do the work required when it is expected of us. Luck does not simply plop into our lives. We have to want that good fortune enough to reach for it and earn it. The opportunities will be different once Jupiter leaves Scorpio. But that's part of the fun of Jupiter. We're given the chance for change with a new mask and a new outlook every year.
How will it affect you and your chart? Honestly, I look forward to a bit more sparkle and verve. With transiting Saturn now officially sitting square to my natal Venus til July 2007, this is just the kind of ego pep pill I need. Jupiter will sit on my Sag Ascendant come January 2007. I also have Sag JUNO. I will have to watch my weight as usual, my expanding occasional cards division of the Studio and of course, right my warm wild over exuberant crush. Sounds good to me. Note for the US politico junkies the elections come in November prior to the new Jupiter. With some major Democratic wins expected and a Congessional House (at mininmum) takeover, I merrily anticipate all sorts of month long parties, big fat promises (tell me lies, sweet sweet lies; I will believe anything now! ) and general jubliant feasting and pent up exuberant debauchery (LOL) to follow.... ;D
