;D Welcome in the Mid-summer (or Mid-winter) Solstice! As the sun crosses the Zero Degree Aries Point you might want to check what planets, angles or house position it activates. More on the AP here: www.falconastrology.com/aries_point.htmFor some hints on making Solstice intentions, this weeks Astro-Mojo Scopes are set up house by house. Read you sun sign for the solar perspective and then read the house that 0 Capricorn falls into. www.kimfalconer.com/scopes.htmlHave a wonderful day and a beautiful start to the new year Love and Light, Kim

Thanks Kim!
Venus and Saturn on the Nodes gives me Venus 0 Aries and Saturn 0 Libra in my draconic chart. And I have Venus/Mars midpoint on 0 Cancer too - so every solstice is a biggie for me! I just keep feeling I'm on the edge of something - hopefully not a precipice - there's a strong feeling of anticipation about next year.
0 Capricorn is in my 8th, so it's all about deep connections.

I have 5 planets on Aries points not to mention asteroids so I do not want to think about it too much Doing my best ostrich imitation Just pray for now!!!!! Happy Solstice to you all and hope this forum hangs in there and some old friends turn up and new ones continue to come next year There's a few astro site forums but this one has its own mature quality with no astrowaffle and I like it.

I love these 0 degree contacts!
Thanks Ariesmoon, and thank you Ana. Your contributions over the years are wonderful--you both help make the forum waffle free!
Happy New Year, xxx

HI Kim and thanks! I found this piece I wrote "off the cuff" a few months ago when looking at my Draconic Chart - specifically Venus at 0.56 Aries (1 Aries in the Sabian Symbols series). The symbol is "A Woman is Arising out of the sea, a seal is embracing her".
I'm amazed with what comes out when you go deeper into these symbols, and look more closely at Draconic placements. This is the Venus that lurks underneath, the silk lining under the coat!
I wrote:
A woman is in water - which is feminine, fluid, salty, flowing, uncontrollable. Water is emotion - it can be a calm sea, or a stormy sea, is this a placid woman who knows her depths or someone out of her depth? Is she fathomable, or is she so deep no-one can find her?
The woman is in all probability naked, loving the water contact, feeling it run in rivulets down her skin and through her hair. Being in warm salty water reminds us of being in the womb, in amniotic fluid. The most natural state for the human body, where rational thought can't take over. We need to go with the flow, with our instincts.
The woman is a mammal, like the seal - warm blooded, able to feed and nurture her young. What difference is there between the woman and the seal? Is the seal there to teach her how to be natural and relaxed about her nakedness, her animality, her mammalian nature? The seal is in its element in water - it follows nature's rhythms, its tides, its feeding patterns, it goes where its instincts or the tides take it. Is it there to teach the woman how to be at ease in her own skin?
This idea of being "embraced" by the seal is indicative of having a healthy relationship with the natural world and with own animal drives and natures. We are so conditioned to ignore them, to suppress them to keep others happy. Animals feed, reproduce according to instinct - they fight to protect their young, they eat when they're hungry and will fight for survival.

In the 90s I met a man at a folk club - after a rather long man drought- and we had a relationship for a few weeks I had a dream shortly after I met him of being gently pulled into the sea by a seal and dancing and swirling through the waves under his guidance with a great sense of freedom [ The man was shortish and bearded and not unseallike............an English folkie.......] It did not last cos his ex reappeared contrite and wanting back But the dream was one of the best I have ever remembered and you must have remembered it too Areismoon!!!!! I guess it is an archetypical dream/myth like falling or being chased.

Perhaps he was a selkie - have you read the legend? Seals who become human by shedding their skin, and can have human relationships, but they have to eventually return to the sea.
Lovely story Ana - thanks!
