I have drawn up a composite for the man in my life and myself, our composite Sun is at 29 degrees Leo and my Juno is at the same point. As I am thinking of marrying this man would this give a good connection or not? Any thought son this please, would be interested to know.

Hi Anitaw,
Again, the chart isn't going to say "This is good or this is bad". It says, "This is like this!" It's energy, just as it is. No judgment.
There are myriad considerations in a composite or synastry comparison. Why don't we look at first the house placement of the sun and ALL of it's aspects. That will tell us something about the "purpose" of the relationship.
Then you can get an idea if that is a "purpose" you wish to spend your life with!
Warmly, Kim

Hi Kim and thanks. I just thought that the Juno connection would give it significance. The composite Sun in the 2nd house, conjunct Marcury and Mars, square to Juptier and Uranus. I think there is an important fixed star also at 29 Leo?

Hi Anitaw, The second house traditionally has to do with tangibles like items of possession and intangibles including personal values, talents and latent abilities. In the composite chart, it represents the substance of the relationships, the values, finances and aptitudes that insure the survival of the two as a pair. Planets here can indicate support and tolerance or antagonism and conflicting values. And remember, you are always dealing with the oppositions in composite charts because there is a near and 180 degree “far” midpoint.
The eighth house as opposition to the 2nd can symbolize much deeper levels of survival such as trust in the unknown, the surrendering of a personal value to gain a greater sense of unity, giving up and letting go. It is about uniting with others to transform as an individual. It is about the many faces of risk, death, sharing and merging.
The composite eighth house can represent the finances and values of people outside the relationship. It may be evoked when the couple goes to apply for a joint loan or look at investing in property together. On a deeper level, this composite house is about the death of the old and outmoded. Significantly tenanted, it can point to a couple whose experience with each other changes their lives forever. The sun in the composite chart states the ‘purpose’ of the relationship and in this case there is a feeling that you have come together to unite values and talents and transform your energy to a higher authenticity. Issues of money, and the power it represents, can surface with this placement. Depending on the individuals involved, this can signify a relationship where wealth does matter or at least must be addressed. . Getting to the core of where the values overlap or clash will reveal the deeper potential of this union, regardless of what else is going on.
Yes, 29 Leo is the fixed star Regulus, the astrologer’s star. Is he interested at all in this field? If so, you may work together in some way-counseling, publishing etc.
The conjunction to Juno does suggest that commitment is one of the backbones of the relationship. This will sit well with earthy and watery individuals but if one of you is mostly fire and air or has strong Mercury, Uranus or Jupiter, it can make you nervous—feel trapped.
Remember, the composite chart is about the relationship as an “entity”. It is not how you feel or how he feels but what the relationship is. You may both respond to the relationship in different ways at different times! The square to Jupiter and Uranus have their own inherent conflicts—the purpose of your unity must have meaning (Jupiter) and it must have collective ramifications (Uranus)…otherwise, the restless edge sets in.
Mars heats up anything it touches. You need joint goals big time, and healthy sexual expression. Mercury says talk, commune and converse! You need to be able to plenty of that too.
Does anyone else have some input here?
What do you think the purpose of your union is, anitaw?

WOW thats all I can say at the moment, you have taken my breath away with that interpretion Kim, also the 8th house has the Moon sitting in there by itself in Pisces making a square to Saturn which I don't feel is too good an aspect. need to work on that one! As I am Scorpio with lots of earthy planets and he is Scorpio moon and Cancer Mars (water) although he is Gemini sun he is quite an earthy person, the purpose of the union........well I am considering selling up all I possess to join him in a foreign country and get married there, we are both in our later years and hoping to build a life together for the time we have left. Our natal charts have Juno and Jupier in direct opposition which I think is good and with the Juno connection in the composite make for a committed union? Of course I realise there will be certain aspects that need to be worked with but having a little knowledge of astrology don't you think helps towards understanding and dealing with these issues? Cheers Kim, Anita.
