Yes, this is one of the main points about conjunctions. The boundaries blur and it can be difficult to gain any sense of objectivity when assessing the synastry aspects to conjunct planets. We'd have to think that Pluto would tend to "over power" Juno in many cases. I have Juno at 22 Leo 07' and Pluto at 22 Leo 37'. I have Jupiter at 29 Gemini 55' and Venus at 0 Cancer 14' Table legs! I can't "do" Juno without getting Pluto and I can't do Venus without getting Jupiter. If someone touches me here or there--they get the lot! I do watch for the Juno/Jupiter (and check asteroid Zeus as well!) synastry as this is such a potent archetype of relationship. Thanks for all your comments, everyone! I am guessing Anitalee is feeling the warm welcome and interest now! :DKim Kim Amoroso! Yes that's a theme I should have noticed with the conjunctions in my chart (and my husband's) I myself can not "do" Juno without getting Ceres/Eros and on the other end Adonis.. My husband has a Juno/Ceres conjunction himself. He has Jupiter in the first house conjunct the ASC, but as the ruler of his 7th house...(a kind of Juno/Venus theme being the 7th house) his Jupiter conjunct Moon and Psyche means, as you say, he can't "Do" Jupiter without getting that Moon/Psyche connection. Thinking about my Ceres/Eros/Juno I would have to wonder where it begins and ends myself..conjunctions are so tricky.. it gets so blended in, its hard to know, "who is who" or "what is what". Thank you for this thread everyone.. interesting writing here. svenskasfinx

Kim, what would a Zeus/Juno contact mean? Hello Dar, I think the asteroid Zeus/Juno contact would focus tighter on the archetypal struggle between the mythical figures. I suspect there is less a feeling of Jupiter's broad and adventurous search for meaning and purpose combined and more of a pinpoint energy of Zeus as the god of creative fire...the god that spends most of his time gallivanting off after new conquests, fertile ground to "plant his creative seeds" while Hera/Juno spends much time cutting down those creations and pulling him back up Mt. Olympus to his throne where she feels he belongs. It's not like she didn't give him any children after all! I get a feeling of "striving for balance" that, as Butterfly points out, is inherent and often challenging in any long-term relationship. It doesn't matter if the man and the Juno and the woman the Jupiter/Zeus or visa versa. Either can identify OR project either. Think of it as a stream of energy flowing both ways. I suppose this connection is so common in relationships because it is such a powerful underlying theme. Kim

Kim thanks Kim. we don't have any contacts that jump out between Zeus and Juno. but the Jupiter/Juno contact is doubled because not only are they opposing, they're also contraparallel (16mins orb). I'm going to have to conduct my own research, just like everybody else. so, how would this Juno/Jupter affect a relationship in concrete terms? could it be that Juno is more relationship-oriented and Jupiter is more world-oriented? I understand the deal with projection, yes. so it won't be just one person doing one thing all the time. but could there be timing and/or 'need' problems with this? for instance, one person wanting something when the other person is not 'in the mood'? I'm asking especially because it's an opposition. what does everybody think (especially the ones who have this aspect with their SOs or special ones)?

When oppositions are projected, it often works out that one person is "on" when the other is "off". One is "out" when the other is "in". Not always, you can see with the propensity of the opposition that it may work out this way. The polarity of the signs would be an important consideration. (think of the decan and dwad as well) What can the push and pull of the signs tell you about how this synastry might play out in a practical sense? Aries-Libra has a very different polarity going on than Cancer-Capricorn. Then, I would look at the charts themselves. What is the orientation when it comes to relationship for each individual. Read my article on compatibility for a refresher here if you want. If The Jupiter persons chart is geared more towards maintenance and closeness in relationship, the Jupiter may be more likely to project. If they are geared more towards change and autonomy, then they will express the Jupiter themselves. Do you see what I am getting at here? How do the pair respond to these two planets individually? Then look at the houses that are activated. That can give you a hint towards the "stage" that the opposition plays on. Here are the area's of life that get the dynamic going! Put all this together an let us know what you come up with. This has turned into a very interesting synastry thread! Kim

Well have been doing some searching into charts of people i know and its incredible how many of the long lasting relationships have this Juno/Jupiter contact. My sister has been married over 40 years and when I looked they have Juno/Jupiter conjunct in Cancer! What more can I say! I am amazed!
