dear ladies and gentlemen,
i have been studying my chart for a while now, and i like that it always has something new to reveal to me. one thing i have not been paying too much attention to is aspect formations - i.e., t-squares, grand crosses, and the like.
recently i became aware that i have a major t-square! my sun in pisces/6th house is opposite my pluto in virgo/12th house, and my moon in sagittarius/3rd house squares both my sun and my pluto. the 9th house is empty in my chart, keeping me from having a grand cross. my virgo friend's moon (gemini) happens to fall in my 9th house. it is opposite my moon (sagittarius) by sign but not by aspect, square my sun (pisces) and pluto (virgo) by sign but also not by aspect. i wanted to ask if you guys think this counts as a grand cross by synastry?
when looking at his chart, i discovered something similar going on. his moon in gemini/7th house is opposite his neptune in sagittarius/1st house, and both his mercury virgo/10th house and saturn virgo/10th house square his moon and neptune (it's a little looser than my t-square, but it is still within orb). so this man has a t-square as well, and guess what? his 4th house is empty, and my sun (pisces) happens to fall there, completing his t-square and making it a grand cross. my sun is opposite his mercury by aspect, and opposite his saturn by sign (not by aspect though). also, my sun is square his moon and neptune, but just by sign, not by aspect.
so what do you guys think? technically im not sure these patterns count as grand crosses in synastry, since the planets involved do not make the requisite aspects to each other, but the signs involved are correct, and the proper houses are involved. im thinking it is important, but i wanted to know what you guys thought as well.
