In November Jupiter will be leaving Scorpio and entering Sagittarius. It will first oppose my NN at 1deg.gemini, and then conjunct natal Eros at about 3 deg. Sagittarius.
Eros is in an intercepred house in my chart, 4th , but I am hoping the transit of Jupiter will light things up. Any insights?

Hi Moondance7,
This post caught my attention as I have Eros in the last few degrees of Scorpio conjunct my IC and was actually thinking about the Jupiter transit. We can compare notes! Here is an excerpt from my Eros pages on transiting Jupiter over natal Eros.
Transiting Jupiter to Eros A spring of love gushed from my heart, And I blessed them unaware. --S.T. Coleridge
Jupiter delights in expanding anything it touches and when the recipient is Eros, all the more jovial. These two archetypes link to give a taste of confidence, exuberance and the feeling of infallibility. If no contradictory transits are in progress at the time, and no enormous self-esteem issues present in the natal chart, this transit, which takes twelve years to return, can be just what the doctor ordered for recreation and exuberant fun.
Jupiter on Eros enlivens the god of love and encourages him to go forth and seek romantic, creative and erotic experiences in accordance to the natal sign, aspect and house position he is in. This can generate a great deal of energy and enthusiasm in one’s life, provided the freedom to experience it is there.
For those who do not feel at liberty to express their Eros, for what ever reason, this can be a difficult time. Conflicts arise, perhaps between work and creativity, responsibility and pleasure. Though difficult to face, this is a great opportunity to explore the conflicts and investigate where life has become unbalanced.
For those who give their erotic nature a free rein, this transit can indicate a run away stage. Jupiter believes that if a little is good, a lot is better so without restraint of any kind, this transit may coincide with immoderation and overindulgence. These excesses might be harmless although if taken to an extreme, damaging results can occur. Generally, Jupiter over Eros will produce a feeling of self-assurance that imbibes the life with creativity and optimism. The extraordinary chance to take intimate relationships into a deeper, expanded realm may also occur.
Has anyone experienced this transit recently? Who has Eros in Scorpio?
Kim

Thanks, Kim. Hopefully, it will be a pleasant transit.
Would Eros square a lovers's venus create problems or just a spark, I wonder?

Hi Moondance7, It all depends on how we define ‘problems’. Eros stirs, sparks and fans us into extreme feelings, actions and desires. Sometimes that is a ‘problem’ if we are more interested in keeping things the ‘same’ as opposed to blowing the roof off the house, ‘the Self’. Sometimes Eros transits are superseded by other major bodies. If you have Saturn on the Ascendant, for example, or Chiron on the Moon, you may not tune in terribly much to an Eros square to Venus on a given day. It may pass unnoticed unless we tune into the inner event that coincides with it as we might be completely preoccupied with Saturn and Chiron. Kim

I was just doing a little chart-synastry mining in response to the Eros-MC thread and discovered that my youngest son's Jupiter is exactly on my Eros. I'm always thinking of people as permanet transits in my life, thanks to you Kim , and I'd say that my connection with my son is definitely in alignment with your description above! It's generally so easy and happy, and he's supportive of my being true to myself in the extreme, but most of all there's always been a very sweet tender intimacy between the two of us, from the time he was little thru til now where he's 16. Our connection is definitely jovial and encouraging. He's always conveyed the message "do what makes you be true to yourself" especially in a public way (my 10th-house Eros is conjunct my MC) in a way that's very unusual for a child to a parent, I think, and from a young age. I always get that he "gets" me emotionally, too -- his commentary and insightfulness is also spot-on. There's such a strong intimate pull between us. I don't know if all of this comes out of the Eros-Jupiter contact, but it feels like a strong component of the energy. And I'd imagine that a transit of Jupiter to one's Eros would logically bring some of this into someone's personal experience. Very nice, indeed! samina

Samina,
Yes! Jovial and encouraging, enthusiastic...all of the above. There is nothing quite so fulfilling as when someone actually 'gets' you. I think Eros/Jupiter conjunct in the synastry can coincide with these kinds of feelings and energy.
AND… (Insert theme from Twilight Zone”)
Your description of your relationship with your Son could have been written by me to the letter!!! MY son has his Jupiter conjunct my Eros and opposite my Sun (he's 23).
Our relationship is exactly how you describe it, has been since he was a small child.
As a permanent transit, it's hard to beat! Thanks for reminding me!
Warmly, Kim

Oh, too much! Very cool, Kim. It's definitely a yummy sort of "cup runneth over" type of relationship connection. What a blessing! I'm currently seeing someone whose Sun is exactly on my Eros -- that's a nice one, too. I feel I can be so natural around him, and I don't think I've ever had such adoring companionship -- every time he looks at me he's like the sun just shining warmth on me. He sees me as fabulous, which is certainly nice, but I say it's all of his own sunny energy that vibes "just right" with my own Eros energy. Man, Kim -- Eros is something else! I can see why you were so drawn to studying it! Sami
