Okay, I can't find it. I'm not totally impressed by this search facility...
Yes, Zeus is the Greek god who was called Jupiter by the Roman's. There is similar energy: magnificence, expansive, creative, magnanimous, confidence, feelings of omnipotence, etc...the difference is that Jupiter is a traditional planet, a body that has 'much more weight'.
Tell me where in your chart Zeus is and where Jupiter is and I'll demonstrate the difference.
Thanks for your question.
Warmly, Kim

Hi Kim! Thanks again for your help. Okay so my Jupiter is at 7 degrees of Aquarius, in the 2nd House, trine Venus...Zeus is at 13 Libra, conjunct Venus, in the 10th house.

Okay, so here would be one way of seeing the difference between these two bodies.
Jupiter in the 2nd, in Aquarius says something about what you value, what gives you a sense of support and security. It can be your attitude towards things in your life, material and energetic. There is a kind of optimism here, a feeling that ‘there is enough’ at the core of your beliefs.
Anything “Jupiter in nature can be a ‘support’ to you, financially or intrinsically. This would be things like travel, philosophy, new territory (research), etc. The Aquarius ‘cloak’ means groups and working with others is highlighted as a possible means of support along with astrology, applied sciences, teaching (groups) etc. The link to Venus in this case EXPANDS the need to socialize, relate and engage in shared activities, creative and communal.
This is a potent aspect of who you are (people often portray the positive and creative side of their Jupiter quite strongly.
Zeus as a minor asteroid in the 10th conjunct Venus gives a creative zeal, enthusiasm and gusto for a career, mission or profession that gets you out into the world in a social, friendly, charming way. It’s creativity but not in isolation, not in an ‘ivory tower of study or research as Jupiter may be happy with. This is out in society, glamorous and diplomatic, making connections, networking and being in the public eye.
Jupiter is a core part of who you are. Zeus says something about the enthusiasm you have for certain types of social activates.
Can you see the difference?
Can anyone else describe these two bodies in their charts? How do you think they work?
Warmly, Kim

Ok I have one!
I have Zeus exactly conjunct Persphone in Gemini in the 12th house at about 11 degrees.
Then I have my Jupiter in Virgo at about 2 degrees Virgo in my 3rd house (echoes of Mercury all around!!) Conjunct my Part of fortune 0 degrees Virgo, 3rd house, also conjunct my IC at 3 degrees Virgo... I think it all points backwards to Mercury.. just because everything relates to Mercury, my ASC ruler, which BTW my ASC is Sextile Jupiter... and lets see, my Zeus/Persphone conjunction is Squared the Moon in Virgo (12 degrees) in the 4th house.
Somewhere along the lines it seems to me that both Zeus and Jupiter speak with a similar "Voice" in my chart... when I'm "enthusiastic" I either talk much about it, or not at all, as if my joy is my own secret, and I guess its because I've been put in the situation where no one was ever allowed to be outwardly "happy" about one's accomplishments, at least the way it was in my family when I was growing up... so when I won things, when I was younger, I kept it very quiet... it wasn't embarassing, but when I had to hear the critique from my Grandmother, I sort of kept my "joy" to myself.
I however, guess, I appear to be rather optimistic. I guess I always am an "inner optimist" in spite of however bad anyone else's out look on things are, and this is probably because of the way I learned how to "function" within a family that didn't take kindly to anyone trying to accomplish things that didn't make "sense".
Today I still feel I have to hide my "success" because of critique...strange huh? I keep thinking, "I'll show them, when I have something bigger to show.." but nothing bigger comes along so I keep anything good "quiet". Is that a part of the Zeus thing? Funny thing is My relocation chart has Zeus within one degree of the MC. in the 10th house.
thanks for asking about Zeus..

Oo I get it now guys. Zeus is like bubbly enthusiasm. This is how I think of it anyway, because now I see it's conjunct my Venus, Eros, and Cupido...and oh how much this explains about me.
Ahh I love asteroids!

My Zeus is in Pisces a wide conjunction to Chiron and Trine my Neptune. It's in House 3 which makes me think a zest/passion/zeal for communicating, for getting a message across. My Jupiter is Sag in House one but retrograde. I'm never sure what that means except it's close enough to my ascendnant (9 orbs) to give me a very sunny optimistic outlook on life regardless of what's getting tossed in my direction....ROFL

these smaller bodies with the other group's names - i like seeing them as adding a similar flavor, but with a different weight. my zeus, however, is at 0 capricorn in the 3rd, 6 degrees off my jupiter in capricorn in the 3rd. so it would seem it's support for it, reinforcement of what that jupiter's already doing.

Tom, I get the feeling that with Zeus so close to Jupiter that it would be very difficult to distinguish between the two. You would receive transits and progressions to them both sequentially, and yes, I think it would support and reinforce the nature of Jupiter in the 3rd. Do you have a Sagittarius Sibling by any chance? Cousin? Do you write? Kim

Jade
Is that 'Zeucy-Juipy' or Juicy Zeusy'? ...lol
Everything about me is obviously enthusiastic and passionate ... just ask Kim ... haha. I have Zeus (0Pis23) Conjunct Chiron (0Pis30) Conjunct Mars (1Pis43) Conjunct Astraea (1Pis59) in 3rd House... Sextile Jupiter (3Cap14) Conjunct Ascendant (29Sag14)... Opposite Pluto (3Vir59) in 9th House Conjunct MC... Trine Neptune (8Sco24) in 11th House...
And ... Zeus-Chiron-Mars-Astraea = Sun/Moon (it's square). This is me ... to a T.
I really can't distinguish between Zeus and Juptier at all. It's just all encompassingly me!

Forgot to say that...
Z-C-M-A Conjunction ... Sun/Moon... affects just about every part of me because... it's Semi-Square Sun (4th/5th) , Semi-Square Saturn (1st), Sesquiquadrate Moon (7th), Quindecile Uranus (9th), Same sigh as Eros Conjunct Urania Conjunct Mercury Conjunct Venus Conjunct South Node (all Pisces) (3rd/4th)...
Can you see how hard it is for me to separate this aspect of me?... x

Do you have a Sagittarius Sibling by any chance? Cousin? Do you write? Kim i see what you say. hermes the scribe & messenger is also there, adding to the 3rd-house energy. my sister has sagittarius rising...and with mars-neptune-jupiter in sagittarius in the 12th squaring her nodes. she married a man who became an orthodox rabbi (we were raised in judaism but in reform tradition). they're VERY sag - i love them, but entirely dogmatic. difficult to dialogue with her - she knows what she knows, in a different way than me, though i do have moon-mercury-neptune in sagittarius. and yes, i do write. i, um, kind of can't stop. at some points in my life it's been satirical fiction, flows of consciousness, poetic reaction to art/music/dance, and the last couple of years that energy & effort has gone into astrology work. sometimes the writing energy is served by the verbal counseling work, so there's been less writing and more counseling/teaching. i've been learning to make the writing serve my emotional innards instead of being just noise - the fiction is funny, but it doesn't get me where i want to go.
