Hi Forum,
I wonder if my Tardis Descendant conjunction might reflect my meeting my wife "late" in life (probably at 45). One of Tardis' meanings, according to Mark Andrew Holmes, is "coming belatedly." As an adult, I had progressed Venus conjunct natal Sun, SA Venus conjunct natal Sun and other notable love aspects. Nothing happened. I'm not concerned, however, because psychics have described the same woman I'll meet. Has anyone noticed a belated event possibly associated with Tardis?

Hey Kelly ... Thanks for pointing out asteroid 3325, TARDIS (even learning about him seems to have been delayed) ... Wow, it explains so much ... My natal Tardis is conjunct Peitho in the 3rd house of communication and all things Mercurial ... with NN in Gemini, I've been wondering why, despite lots of encouragement from friends, I have such a difficult time accepting the idea that I should be a writer (hard just to put the concept of such a thing in writing) ... But there is old Tardis at 14 Aries, like a ball-and-chain, keeping my expressive nature in check (probably hoping to keep that Mars-ruled Peitho mouth from getting me in trouble!) ... On the other hand, Tardis is trine Talent in Leo, so perhaps "late-life creativity" is the meaning? ... But you are mostly interested in how Tardis could be affecting your love life, right? With natal Saturn in 7th, I can sympathize ... didn't get married until I was 36 ... I applaud your philosophical attitude (and the psychic): Don't worry, enjoy your time as a singleton and trust that She will come into your life at exactly the right moment ... guess it's like that old song, "You can't hurry love" ... ... Cheers, J P.S. ... just noticed that transiting Eros is conjunct my natal Tardis -- so this is why I feel like I'm spinning my wheels romantically! ...

Hi Jamma,
Perhaps there's something to this. Tardis apparently has meaning in your chart.
Now you've gotten me interested in Talent. My hearing of asteroids opens up a can of worms. I can't get enough astrology.
I could always attend Astrologics Anonymous. Of course, it could take months to figure out the best times to hold the meetings!
Thanks for responding,
Kelly

This is interesting! I have progressed Sun approaching Tardis at 23 Cancer in the 11th (conjunct Uranus and Urania). I'm going to have to ponder what this might mean... Kim

TARDIS FLASH! (now there's an oxymoron for you!) ... I just plugged in a couple of other asteroids into my natal, and Tardis is exactly conjunct my Amor ... and here I've been blaming poor Saturn all this time ... ... btw, Kelly, have you run your "romance asteroids" in one chart? ... it varies, but here's a synastry list I like: 433,16,80,1943,1221,4386,763,2101,1388,447 J

Hi Jamma,
I'll use that list when I meet my future wife.
According to Zarathu, 18171 is another romance asteroid. I don't know much about it.
Thanks,
Kelly

This is interesting! I have progressed Sun approaching Tardis at 23 Cancer in the 11th (conjunct Uranus and Urania). I'm going to have to ponder what this might mean... Kim Well I think if you have ever watched Dr. Who, there is yet another meaning to TARDIS: What does it mean on Dr. Who? Well its Dr. Who's transportation machine, which goes though time and space.. its bigger inside than it is on the outside so its a small box with a whole world one can get lost in, and it seems to have a "mind of its own" because the TARDIS as a machine IS a "Living Machine" with consiousness. TARDIS is an abreviation of: "Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Or Time and Relative Dimension in Space, if you're a purist." More information on the TARDIS: www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/tardiscam/intro.shtmlI'm a fan of Dr. Who. Svenskasfinx

Hey Svenska, You are right! Evidently Dr. Who was the inspiration for the naming TARDIS (and that's why it's in all caps on astrodienst's asteroid list) ... Read on (from the Mark Andrew Holmes site Kelly mentioned): I don't know why, but this reminds me of the relativity thing again ... staying in one place (or phone booth) and letting the universe do the traveling for you ... Another thought ... in a race around a track, which is the first horse to reach the starting point? ... the one who never left the gate ... ok, head about to explode now ... peace & love and all things groovy ... Thanks Sven! I was thinking about TARDIS too in this light...and it seems the antithesis to Tardy...My feeling is, if the asteroid was named for Dr. Who's TARDIS, then it's about a LOT more than 'late starters'! I think the paradox of time and space is what is being explored here...retarded? Sensory impairment? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm What research is that based on, I wonder? I'm more curious about the time/space meaning...I'll come back and comment more on this in the next week! Kim

Hi Kim,
Perhaps the "coming belatedly" meaning is inaccurate.
I have Saturn squaring my Asc/Desc so that may suggest delay.

Just a thought, Kelly -- perhaps you've already met your future wife ... I knew my second husband for more than 20 years before we got married ... Perhaps Tardis could also mean "developing slowly over time" ... ... j

I am intrigued by the time-space notion, and J's idea that if you stay in one place long enough, things come around. Rather like fashion sense!!!
My TARDIS is in my second house of Scorpio. I certainly have had a "blind spot" with finances and the ability to support myself financially as well as emotionally until fairly recently. Balancing a check book remains a mystery as well as banking and economics in general, fine print on legal documents... It has been more than a mystery, it has been a huge weight and source of self-hate that I do not really understand these kinds of things. Yet that second house also contains Saturn. I drew into my life a Saturnian individual (my husband) who through control, thrift and common sense has managed our money in a wise way, absorbing my frenetic ups and downs and staying the course in in spite of the fact that many of my unwise financial moves were motivated by idealistic, artistic, educational and altruistic reasons. (He saw the importance of these reasons even though it was a great source of frustration for him.)
I even got a diagnosis of adult attention deficit disorder and went on the drug Ritalin and received occupational therapy for awhile which did help. No longer take the drug and use the on-line services of my bank to balance checkbooks!
The point for this diatribe is that, in this year of my Chiron return, things have come full circle. I am managing things much better now in all financial ways, thanks largely to growth achieved through my marriage to John. I have an almost-grand water trine (Venus in Cancer, Mars in Pisces, Neptune in Libra) so ALL my decisions are motivated by emotional security. Somehow, this all ties into the concept of TARDIS as what has been described. Eventually it comes around.
Thanks for introducing this asteroid!
Blessings, Amoroso

Hi Jamma,
Though we'll "recognize" each other immediately, the relationship will develop slowly because I'm stuck as my mom's caregiver. My future wife will understand and won't hold it against me.
I feel so fortunate because psychic Vicky Johnson has seen my wife and upcoming career. I believe her because last year she predicted that my mom would be coming home soon from a facility. At the time of the reading, we were planning to move mom to another floor in the same building so I was surprised by the prediction.
Perhaps TARDIS also shows my fascination with psychics' "time traveling." I'm sure my wife will be into all this as well.

i'm suspicious of the "slow or delayed" ideas...but that could just be because it's conjunct my sun...
just kidding - i tend to be suspicious of what looks like the easy answer. at the same time, i recognize that the accepted interpretations we can come to agree to can include meanings not included in the naming process.
so, mine's at 11 scorpio in the 2nd, conjunct juno-sun at 15-16 scorpio. trine MC/SN in cancer/10th, inconjunct chiron in aries on the DSC. not sure what to say on it, but thought i'd offer my placement for the discussion.

Okay I don't wanna read into this too much, but Tardis is a little past being conjunct my moon, and ever since I've studied astrology I've been having debates with people about where my moon is--cappy or aqua. A little delayed figuring that out! (Still not quite sure!)
