Hi, all. I'm new here (except to Blue Orchids who I already know - Hi, Blue Orchids!)
My Asc is conjunct the GA. I have Philip Sedgwick's Galactic Report software, which basically told me that the GA Asc means that you attract information, all kinds of information. If you think about it, you attract it. I do find that to be true - nerdy though it is - but information comes to me in serendipitous ways at times.
Example: I was thinking, "Hm, should I have laser surgery on my eyes?" but I wanted more information. Within about one week I met the man who owns the patent to the laser and who trains doctors how to perform the surgery, so he explained the process to me and gave me the names of a few doctors who he felt were the best in my area.
This kind of thing happens a lot, and it's very useful. I think it makes me a good researcher.

Hi Aqua Moon! YES YES GOD YES.... ;D I am an information hound and tramp and I am always creating something which is why I have been in business for myself for a million years ...Even when I worked for people my fantasy assignment was the one that involved researching information on anything... I find however that sometimes I get entirely overwhelmed. I am always doing three to four things at one time. My son who is 13 is the exact same. He has these hobbies that always seem to involve cataloging data, details, lists. He is always walking around with one of my notebooks. His sun/vertex are 13/14 sag. PS I am the biggest nerd that ever walked the block and am attracted and somewhat turned on by those types of men...LOL

Jade, no, I wouldn't attribute creativity to this aspect alone. Maybe someone with Sun or Uranus cj the GA could be an inventor. Look also to the native's natal Jupiter, the house it sits in and the aspects it makes. My Jupiter doesn't make any aspects with Uranus, though Jupiter and Uranus are sitting in the same house - 8. With pure GA cj Asc it's more like it brings the information to you or the people that have the knowledge that you are looking for to you.
BlueOrchids, ha ha! You know what I'm talkin about! We could be a hot research team!
If anybody on this thread wants a Galactic Report (free) just send me your birth info.

Oh, Yes please!!!! My Point of Fortune is 11 Sag and 14 Sag is in opposition to my Sappho and Mercury in Gemini. I have started 5-6 organizations to meet needs that were not met in the arts, and collect info like a banshee. My Uranus at the MC is sextile Mercury (Tell me, how to banshee's collect information? ?) Amoroso June 11, 1956 4:02 pm Chicago, Illinois Thanks so much! A

Dear Aqua-Moon,
Thanks so much for sending that report. I haven't had a chance to really read it yet, but it includes so many new ideas I am really looking forward to hunkering down with it.
WIll report back when I've read it. Thanks again!
Blessings, Amoroso

We've all talked about how the GA seems to attract various things to each of us, but what about its properties of magnification? Do you suppose that having the GA on a house cusp or planet or point would also magnify the intensity of a Mars, Saturn or Pluto transit, the yin/yang thang?

Hi Everyone,
I "found" this thread as I was looking to see if there was a thread on the Quindecile. People tend to either love or really dislike me. I have Saturn at 14 Sag oppose Mars at 13 Gemini. Both are square my MC at 17 Virgo which is in a wide conjunction with Jupiter at 24 Jupiter. Many of the people who despise me have been supervisors at work. Very interesting thread. R's ascendant is at 15 Pisces, and his sun makes a wide conjunction to his descendent (8 Virgo).

Interesting, Pam! I have noticed that the mutable angles often form instant attachments (or un-attachments!) There can be the same vibe in the people they meet--a strong contrast. I think it comes with the Virgo link to knowing ones taste in things. There is that discernment there that very quickly identifies what is liked or disliked. Everyone with Mutable angles has Virgo on one of them! With Virgo on the MC, it is the 'public' that makes those quick, discerning assessments. Kim

And they do, they do! Especially female public people in a position of power. Most of the female supervisors I've had at work have given me major problems, whereas the men will leave me alone or even actively support me. You'd think that with Jupiter conjunct the MC, career would be easy, but I guess not with the Great Constrictor conjunct the Great Attractor. I have been known to form instant attachments though, and instant unattachments when things were just over for me.

yeah, interesting... I've got Mars at 16 Sag in the seventh house - one would think I'd be inundated with male suitors right?!?! Maybe its because mars is retrograde that I don't ? but Kim I think you're right about the mutable angles and instant attachments - and detachments - I either feel that connection straight away or never do. thanks for digging up this old thread Pam, its good to consider such things pm

Although it's not on an angle, I've got Mercury on 13.37 Gemini, exactly opposite the Great Attractor. So I'm immediately attracted to people who can expand my thinking, who open up the world to me. I've been very attracted to someone who has a Draconic placement - retrograde Uranus - on the Great Attractor. I can sense a fiery rebellious energy in him which he's suppressing. And that's the attraction. There would be a firework display but he can't, or won't, let it out of the box.

Interesting, Ariesmoon! I have Mercury at 18 Gemini, 4 degrees off but I am VERY attracted to genius. If they stimulate my mind, I'm theirs! (for a while anyway I'm going to look at this in my Draconic connections. Good idea! o:
