A recent bad bout of sciatic pain and a visit to both an osteopath and sound healer today - both have got me thinking about the T square in my chart:
Venus 10.26 Leo
Saturn 10.27 Aquarius
Neptune 10.54 Scorpio
No surprise that a lack of flexibility (Saturn) in the spine, around the heart (Leo) is causing me great pain. No surprise either that I seem to have had it forever (it's on the nodal axis). And no surprise that healers who work with intuition and spirituality (Neptune) are supporting my recovery. My sound healer uses a conch shell for healing and I'm very receptive to it (how much more 6th house Neptune could you find?)
An astrologer once told me that if I could get Neptune on my side, I would be able to move forwards - I'm just beginning to really see that, after many years of refusing to!
It got me thinking about the "empty leg" of the t-square - the point of 11 degrees Taurus. That's the energy of "slow down, you move too fast", of pottering in the garden, of immersing the self in music, of doing gentle body work, and taking time to prepare and eat delicious food. And of sensuality and loving sexuality. All of which I've noticed I've been denying myself.
I have no planet there, I may well have a very interesting asteroid that I haven't yet discovered. It's no coincidence I'm sure that Mercury is currently retrograding back onto it. Mercury Rx is a time for reflection, and in my 12th house, it's encouraging me to stop and smell the flowers (and plant some!) And to take time out to better explore what my body needs and wants. I've got official "time out" from work today which has enabled me to kick start the process. The body has already told me today, when I reflexively thought "I need milk and bread", "no you don't". And I listened, and opted for soy milk instead with oatcakes.
The Sabian symbol for the "missing" leg makes fascinating reading, and I'm going to meditate on it:
"A Woman sprinkling long rows of flowers". That's about planting, nurturing, and watching things grow. It's about providing all the materials necessary for growth and abundance. And that's what's been missing - awareness of that. I shall use the weekend, when Mercury is going over that degree, to plant more seeds, and nurture myself.
